Hi Vehbi,
Being able to communicate in English plays an important role in assisting people to carry out their businesses up to a desired level. A language barrier is not an issue for them to become players in an international environment.
People who are not English speakers/readers are actually different from English illiterates. These people may not speak English but they understand English. They are not totally ignorant in English language. I bet those who ever go to school should have learnt English Language. It is just a matter of how better a person is in reading, writing or understanding information in English. For example, I am not an English speaker, but I learnt English at school, and thus I understand what’s been written in English. At least, if the person can digest main ideas being talked about, it is just quite satisfying.
So, go ahead in sponsoring and recruiting people to become SFI affiliates even if their mother tongue is not English. Luckily also, SFI websites, which are full of superb business ideas, tools and up-to-date materials, provide translation tools that are very helpful enough to all non-English speakers or readers.
These affiliates then can focus on sponsoring or selling on a local platform, offline or online, if they are more comfortable in using their own language. Still success can be achieved as long as a desire to work on the business is always in their hearts and minds.
Gradually these affiliates will develop a consciousness to improve themselves in many areas, especially in improving their English usage. If they want to hitch their wagons to a star, then they will concentrate on their businesses and put an effort to improve their skills, not to forget their language skill.
