If you have the opportunity to actually know your prospects, then you may well be able to decide what they would best want or need regarding the actual type and amount of information needed to make a decision to join SFI.
Some people are analytical and want lots of data. Others would get overwhelmed with this and really just need to trust that they are not being scammed and that this is a real business. The basics are best for these folks. They do not want to be pushed or SOLD. Mentioning that it is a business wit 16 years of success and providing important links and how to proceed at "start' and that it is free to join with no obligation are my high points in a much shorter letter.
I have had people tell me I needed to shorten an info letter while others have thanked me for it's thoroughness when I knew it was lengthy.
For my new affiliates I purchase monthly on TripleClicks, I try to keep the email to 1000 letters and then write them individually if I see them active in the program. Even though these affiliates have joined, I consider them prospects until I see continues activity in the program.
If it is a friend on the internet showing interest, I go with what feels right at the moment.
