I feel it is always worth it to create individual welcome letters to your affiliates! Unfortunately it is not always possible. Do you not enjoy hearing personally from someone of "whom's" company or club you just joined? I do!
But with SFI, you can often bring on 100's of affiliates a day with their PSA to go program. Therefore it is harder to do a personalized welcome email.
I the rely on both genealogy and the movers page as I do this monthly with a standing order.
I send out a generic welcome letter and invite the PSA's to email me personally with questions.
My letter may be in "updates" for Gmail or Spam if I am not added to their contact list (White Listed)
I look at my movers on the To Do List and reach out to those who are active. I check out their ledger and then contact them.
In Genealogy, I go to the most recent points filter and write those who did not make it on my mover list and write them as well.
I use both instant messages and group mail. Some have joined SFI but bow out quickly. It is my hope that by email, I may change their mind. Instant message can give them a boost and quick advice they can utilize on the site right away.
See you at the Top!
