That would really vary from person to person. Some want to see the big picture, others just want to know what to do.
In general I try to lead people with a template of: "This is what you should have done (general). This is the next step (specific) and this is what will be coming next (general).
The issue is usually trust. People ask me what do I do to make money, I tell them, and then they do not do it. Why? Because they do not trust the system yet. So to build trust I say, for example:
"I will finance your purchase of the NMP if you achieve (goal). Why will I do that? Because I know how SFI works and you do not. My experience in SFI has created in me trust that the rights steps taken will produce the desired outcome, Profit. You do not yet have the experience so you have not built up the trust. But follow my lead and when your trust has been won by SFI, help your affiliates in the same way."
I have experienced when I show confidence in the system they more readily follow my step by step instructions.
