Personally I think a person ought to have a few team members before starting a co-op so start the blog and than add the co-op.
Blogger.com and Wordpress.com offer free blog websites unless of course you prefer to use a paid one instead. I personally don't think it matters. Content is King when it comes to writing/blogging so keep your blog posts short, and helpful if that's what it takes to write something worth reading. I personally don't like a lot of videos and pictures. I like something worth reading and that is becoming incredibly difficult to come by nowadays and I have started writing on Hub Pages as well as my two blogs and I am now finding more literature worth reading! It pays to never ever give up!
