There are quite a number of things that people get hung up on when being introduced to SFI. A lot of people think MLM (multi-level marketing) is something illegal like a ponzi scheme or a pyramid. If you can't explain how money is made in the system when someone asks, or if you can't handle the question, "How much money are you making in the business?" you lose immediately. A lot of it has to do with your posture. If you come across as begging a person to join you, that doesn't come across as powerful or effective. Don't try to pretend you are anything you are not. If you don't know when to shut up, you can talk someone into the business and out all in the same sentence! If the conversation is all one sided, with you dominating all the talking, you are not listening and that can kill any deal. If you come across as unprofessional, and especially if you don't know or understand the basics of the business you are presenting, that is an instant turnoff.
