I think it is best to focus on quality in your sponsoring efforts however for every 100 affiliates you sponsor you can only expect 1%- 3% of these to remain active and become an EA2 or Team Leader.
First of all make sure that you are purchasing or receiving your PSAs from quality sources. If you are advertising be sure to write effective ads that are worded correctly and are presenting the opportunity realistically without false or overblown claims.
You will need to sponsor many PSAs to find your workers and your "diamonds" therefore I think it is an excellent goal to sponsor hundreds of PSAs each year, however in the process do not sacrifice quality for quantity. Make your most important goal that of finding and working with your PSAs who want to succeed. Once you have at least five EA2s or Team Leaders you can focus your efforts on working with them - remember though that to really help them and to improve your own success you should add PSAs to their Teams. I would include them in your Co-op and also re-assign some of your own active EA2s to them.
