Hi, this is a good question.

I have many members on my team, both PSAs and CSAs. The majority of them are inactive, but each week I do send a group mailer to everyone. Whether any of the information I send to all of my team resonates with them, I am unsure, but I keep plugging away.

I really think that the majority of the trouble is that unless new members when they first sign up put in right away what their primary language is, it is hard for us to communicate with them appropriately.

One of my current movers was on my team for 1 1/2 months before I knew what his primary language was. He was from India, so I tried Hindi and English, but had not heard back from him. He continued to be on my mover list, but I was not getting correspondence back from him. Then one day, he finally completed his affiliate profile and his primary language was posted. Since then we have been messaging back and forth with no problems.

The form you first fill out for signing up as a member should have language as #1 thing you fill in first. This way team leaders would be able to communicate instantly. Always when you get a new PSA, primary language is listed as English, until they complete their profile and then you will notice that it has probably changed. Their home country is always listed and I always check to see what the main language of that country is, but this ends up not being true for an individual at times either, as some countries have two-three main languages.

I really think this is a reason so many affiliates may be inactive.
