My thoughts on this would be don't worry about this type of advertising. There are so many different ways to get the message out without ever seeing anyone. You might communicate in different ways to get your message to these people that does not require a face to face meeting.
There is nothing wrong with email and internet advertising and there is a lot of free sites that you can use to do this.
