Approaching people for the first time to introduce any new business,particularly a network marketing type of business can be tough.
One reason for this is that a lot of people have had bad experiences with many network or affiliate marketing companies.Again many people are truly ignorant about this type of business.
My experience is to simply tell the story of my decision to get involved in MLM and SFI in particular....and since it is my story,there is no possibility of losing face.It is my experience that people tend to enjoy real life stories.Once they hear my story they want to know more...and that is when I begin to explain SFI to them.
I have discovered that once I have piqued their curiosity with my personal stories,they want to know more.
Usually at this time all I do is give them my personal SFI link to get involved but if they are not ready for that I simply advise them to check out the main SFI website.
If the person is not willing to give me some time to explain things then I simply offer them a good book on the subject.If they accept the book and read it,they will be better prepared to listen to me next time.
The key is to get them talking.
And the best way to do this is to ask them questions.By asking them questions,you are making it easier on yourself by putting the attention on them,instead of on yourself.Some examples of good questions include;
1.Please what do you know about affiliate marketing?
2.Have you ever heard of SFI?
3.Would you like to join of the fastest growing companies on earth today?
4.Would you to grow a passive income?
5.If you had enough access to money and time,what would you do with your life?Would you like me to suggest steps that can lead you to financial freedom?
Of course you can think up many other questions that can help start conversations that will get people talking.
And finally,you have to 'psyche' yourself against rejections.It sometimes happens that you may run into someone who responds roughly to you.
The best way to handle this is to think to yourself,'So what?'.
They are the ones losing by not getting involved..not you and besides,the more rejections you get has a way of helping you to develop an emotional thick skin.
So go for it!
