1) Do some self counseling, don’t label yourself that ‘you are not good at approaching people face to face’ instead say to yourself ‘I haven’t done or tried’.
2) Be at ease, you are not on a mission. Don’t pressurize yourself. Don’t even think of sales, closing the deal etc.
3) Assess their current life situation, their thinking and prepare a brief note about them. Neglect some of their negatives if you see. Your objective is to see the positives and empower them.
4) Don’t presume such as he/she is arrogant, has a good income level or lack education. Each person needs to be approached differently. Just focus on learning the art of approaching and you will approach each one accordingly.
5) Be enthusiastic, be positive, be honest/open, be informative, be thoughtful/reasoned.
6) Once the relationship is harmonious, offer your invitation to join you in the business of 21st century. Timing is crucial.
7) Anyone can be approached; it’s our attitude that determines the outcome.
