Initiating an online chat may seem uncomfortable to most people who are not used to. Your new PSA might be needing your support at the moment or just need some clarification about getting started with SFI.
Here are basic rules before initiating an online chat:
- Start the conversation by a short introduction.
For example: “Hi (name) how are you getting along with SFI?”
- Deliver a basic line in a relatively friendly, self-assured way so as to make your new PSA feel comfortable.
- Have self-confident in delivering your message. After all your communication should reflect the role of being his/her Team Leader.
- Show rapport in your conversation.
Talk to your new PSA in the manner as if you were going up to someone you already know and are friendly with. Don't go too far and be inappropriately familiar with people, but at the same time, you don't need to be overly formal and courteous and restrained around acquaintances and strangers. By following this suggestion you'll naturally adopt a warmer, more confident attitude and put the other person at ease.
What to discuss with your new PSA:
- Ask about his/her current situation.
You can start asking questions such as: “Is there anything I can help you with? Do you understand SFI concept? It is very important to focus on the core of SFI especially for new affiliates. Often majority of newly sign-ups are confused in getting started in venturing SFI. It is of utmost important to understand the basic foundation and start building on it. SFI is all about building teams of affiliates who are committed, putting into practice the process of Duplication.
- Comment on his/her situation and offer support.
Explain clearly and simple words that there is work involved like logging in daily, performing To-Do List and so on. Don’t give so much information all at once. Give him/her assurance that he/she can depend on you for support.
