For choosing products beyond your own interest watch the market what currently sells, what's hyped and what's IN. Also read/watch other peoples review about current products to get an idea how they advertise those and whether you would buy it because of their review.
When you are very persuasive in writing or talking you might try and tackle more unkown or niche products, too.
For SFI/TC and traffic products:
Those are always good to promote within SFI. Enter some reviews and tips for the usage of the different SFI/TC products on your blogs and websites including your SFI leadership blog. Teach your downline about marketing methods and tell them which products will help them to achieve their goal.
If you have a public video blog, advertise TCredits while explaining all the benefits you get with them, xcards and giftcards to start full throttle at this business opportunity from the beginning, and so on.
