Hey there. I speak from experience as far as using a dropshipper as an ECA. I have used them and it was a beautiful business relationship.
That said, there are a few things you need to be aware of before using a dropshipper. If you do not use the right dropshipper, you will cause issues with your ECA account, including a poor rating and possible termination of your account.
So here goes:
**Product - You may be interested in the product yourself, but it may not be conducive to TripleClicks sales. This is where having your "finger on the pulse" of the consumer comes in. Know what sells!
**Dropshipper - Probably the most important of the considerations is who your "partner" will be. What I did, was Google dropshippers and the type of products I wanted to sell. I researched and did my due diligence on the following matters:
A. Prices - can you get the products at a good wholesale price that allows you to sell at a good price SFI/TC members will buy it at.
B. Delivery Time - Check delivery times. One of the last things you want is to face the problem of complaints from members who say they have not received their items(s) in a reasonable amount of time.
C. Check Money Back Guarantees - If the company does not offer one, find another.
D. Google information about the company itself. Ensure they are in good standing and free of any major issues.
**After you choose the company(ies) you will work with, the fun begins!
A. List all the products for sale
B. Always include images of the products
C. Write a complete detailed description of each product
D. Offer the best price possible for TC members. be competitive. Including good deals on shipping. Remember, TC buyers are looking for a good deal. If they wanted to pay full price, they would do that at their local store.
**Marketing - Of course you need to let everyone know about your ECA store. SFI gives a lot of guidance on that. Don't forget to let all your SFI A2A friends, PSA's , CSA's and TConnect friends know about your store as well.
I did that before and made a good amount of sales, It can be a huge part of your SFI income.
The above is not all inclusive of what you can do but I hope it helps. It is at least a good start.
