I have given this a great deal of thought myself. I did create a blog to promote SFI and TripleClicks but it is not being seen by many even though I advertise it.
My advice is to create a blog about something that you are passionate about like sports, crafts, parenting, reading, shopping, traveling, movies, food, etc. Give your blog an easy to remember name. Then place SFI & TripleClicks banners on the page.
You can also have an SFI/TripleClicks blog and provide a link to it from your other blog. I recommend creating your SFI/TripleClicks blog for your team, including newsletters you send and tips to succeed. This will make a good impression for anyone who visits your blog as they will see what a helpful team leader you are as well as the fact that SFI is a REAL business that they join and be successful at.
The most important thing is to keep your blog(s) current. You need to post new content at least once a week. Also, choose your keywords carefully.
If you know what to blog about, checkout this site to help come up with topics. http://www.hubspot.com/blog-topic-generator Enter 3 keywords and the generator comes up with 5 possible topics!
