Thank you for your question!
I think the number of active members is of a primary importance when choosing
which safelist to join.
The more active members a safelist has, the more chances you've got that your advert will be seen and your voice will be heard. Advertisement world has its own rules, and one of these rules says that the volume of your work must be big, because otherwise people just won't notice it.
Also, the folowing things are important when choosing a safelist to sign up to:
1) Reputation
(Join only a site, that is legitimate and reliable. It means it won't send your adverts to any people who do not want to read them at all. If you do not obey this rule, appellations could follow from this group of people. If such an appellation comes to SFI, you can even be thrown away from the business for not respecting company's policies)
2) Delivery speed
(Your messages should be delivered in time, one business day is a maximum)
3) Simple, comfortable site's interface
(Some sites have very complicated, overloaded appearence with a million of unneeded buttons and annoying untargeted adverts. Programmers sometimes call such sites "explosion at the pasta factory" in their slang. Avoid these sites. There are tons of fresh-looking, top-notch interfaced safelists on the Web today)
4) Competitive affiliate programs
(for those who are interested in them)
5) Bonuses
6) Payout options (PayPal, STP, Credit Card etc. They must comply well with your country)
Hope this helps!
Good luck!
