If you mean by "personal" a website that has nothing to do with SFI, that is different from "my personal SFI website". I regard my personal SFI website as the one that is given to me when I signed up with SFI. That is a fantasitic website and I would not change a thing about it.
If you mean a website which you own and can publish stuff about SFI or anything else you want, that is what I would call your "personal website" and that can be a good thing to help you promote SFI or anything else. And I have some suggestions about managing such a website.
With your personal website you can "brand" yourself to the internet world by commenting about and linking to other significat websites (such as your personal SFI website and all of your Gateway Pages in SFI). If you have your own website you can do things to help yourself to be found by other people who are searching for what you have to offer on the internet. Blogging is very useful in providing fresh content for your website.
Be sure to use good Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques when building your personal website. You will want to submit your personal website URL to the
Google spiders which crawl listings of internet URL on a regular basis in an effort to decide which sites are the most relevant and deserving of a higher placemnt on Google. (Go to 'Google Addurl' to notify them of your URL)
