I have experience with in-person presentations, direct mail, trade shows, handing out biz cards, network at events, etc. Can offline marketing be as effective for my SFI business as online marketing?
Your experience in offline marketing can be extremely effective in your own country and even in your own community. This is what is known in SFI as ‘warm advertising’ where you can personally interact with others. I think that there is nothing better than the personal touch.
You have the opportunity to speak directly to others about your business and so they can see you passion and confidence. They can recognize that you believe in what you are doing and that passion can be contagious. You can also help them to allay their fears or doubts by sharing your experiences directly.
On a face-to-face level you can be more persuasive as you share first-hand knowledge about your business. You can put something directly into the hands of your potential customer and see the reaction. You can get immediate feedback and can take contact information/direction for a follow-up on the prospect.
You can take advantage on the spontaneity of the prospect. The potential customer must be there for a reason, possibly the same as you. You can immediately form a bond or connection with his interest and take it from there.
As an off-line marketer you have the advantage of the hands-on approach and this can be used in many successful ways.
