I use a variety of ways to reach many groups of people.
I have a growing list of free advertising sites that I keep on a spreadsheet. Each has a specific key code. Each day, I place ads on five to ten of these sites, one each for recruiting and TripleClicks.
I also keep a list of vendors and products I use. Each month, I send out an introduction letter to ten of these vendors, along with an ECA brochure. I follow up the next month with a post card if I do not hear from them. I keep several ECA brochures and x-cards in the glove box of my car, in case an opportunity arises to use them in person.
I place the free marketing and recruiting flyers on public bulletin boards and at the local colleges.
Finally, I use Gift Cards as tips at restaurants and give them out to family, friends, and folks I talk to in person. I also keep a supply of x.cards in my pocket, in case I run out of gift cards.
There are as many ways to market as your imagination can come up with. Give presentations to community groups, set up a booth at a job fair, post fliers at your local unemployment office - the sky's the limit! Hmmmm...sky writing.....Good luck!
