You are probably at more of an advantage than an affiliate marketing via the Internet. You have the opportunity to establish a genuine relationship with your prospects. You can initiate discussions about everyday events that can lead you to what your prospects really need. If you are giving out free stuff, you are especially at a great advantage. Your prospects are more likely to remember that you gave them a flyer or gift card than if you were marketing online.
To get off to a productive start head over to the “Affiliate Center” and click on the “Marketing” tab. A drop down menu will appear. Select “Marketing Aids”. On the left side of this page you will be selecting your Program, Type, Free, Shape, Color, Size, Language, Theme and Currency. Under “Type” choose one or a combination of the following: Flyer, Post Card, X-Card, Brochure or Gift Card.
Purchase some of these marketing tools because they are very inexpensive and provide instant value to your prospects. I would begin with gift cards, because it is hard for a prospect to turn down the $10 value, especially if you have met with them in person and they already know who you are. They could always benefit from Triple Clicks, whether they want to be an SFI Affiliate or not.
I would not give out the SFI “Program” card unless my prospect inquired about the organization I was a part of. The reason for this is that you want to target your marketing to those who are interested in what you have to offer the same as you would if you were marketing on the Internet.
This is also a perfect opportunity to find ECA’s (E-Commerce Associates). Although there are no marketing aids available at this time for the ECA program, you can create one yourself and get it approved by SFI, assuming you are at least a Bronze Team Leader.
