You could communicate with you sponsor and co-sponsor as many times as you wish, if they allow you. I communicate with my sponsor on a daily basis, but we became friends and that might make a difference.
Your sponsor is there to help you, but, in all probability, you would not be your sponsor's only PSA and therefore you should respect your sponsor's privacy and time. Allow your sponsor time to talk to other PSA's as well.
