Non-responsive Sponsor: I surmise majority of SFI affiliates can relate to this question.
I have a non-responsive sponsor. I have been an affiliate since 02/2013. At the start, I made a few attempts to contact my sponsor. When I received no responses, I stopped and looked elsewhere. I chose to move forward and build my business despite him. I figured I signed on to SFI for myself, not for my sponsor. Initially, it irked me he benefits from my efforts, when he never responded to my inquiries/needs. I realized I could stifle my growth and chose to not advance in SFI so he would not benefit from my work, but this would only hurt me.
So, I chose to go forward. How did I do this? I read the lessons provided by SFI. I sought out other SFI affiliates; affiliates who were willing to assist me with my inquiries and answered my questions. I read Forum posts and participated in Ask SC. I found by reading and rating Ask SC answers, I learned about areas I needed growth in SFI. The Forum is a great place to search out help, if the subject you are looking for is not posted, you can place your own question. I also find by answering other affiliates questions it makes me more determined to learn and be of assistance to others, just as many SFI affiliates have been towards me, with the exception of my non-responsive sponsor.
Another helpful area I have found is a2a friends. When I began SFI, I had no concept of online advertising. Thanks to my a2a friends this changed. My greatest help came through an up-line affiliate. I am in her third level. I took a chance to respond to one of her emails, after no response from my sponsor. Thankfully, she responded. She continues to help me grow my business. Truthfully, I rather she be my direct sponsor, but alas, I do not have a say in this.
I also find using SFI and TripleClicks Support to be helpful. When I had some difficulties with TripleClicks orders or Pricebender Auctions and there had been a time I was not receiving points for one of the tabs on SFI; I found when I place support tickets in to the sites, they responded in a timely manner.
So, despite a non-responsive sponsor, affiliates have a chance to build their business. They simply need to make a choice. Do they want to build their own business? It is their choices of what they will do with their own business and go forward seeking out the tools, individuals, and means which will help them get to their desired destiny (goal) regardless of a non-responsive sponsor!
