The golden rule applies here as it does in most things.
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
If you want people to engage and converse with you, then do it with them first.
Ask them how they're doing and if they need help. They may try to go it alone for a while, thinking that they don't need any help, or maybe they just don't want to bother
you, but if you keep sending them messages and reminding them that helping them helps you too, they may begin to send you e-mails. When they do, answer as soon as you possibly can and give them the help they need or direct them to the pages they're looking for.
Sometimes they don't know what to do or may not even know how to copy and paste. Don't assume that they know what to do once they get to these pages. So send them where they can get the most viable information on the topics they need help with. If there's a forum post, send them the link. If there's something in Ask Gery, send them there. And if you know how to do something and can show them how to do it, then send them the instructions.

You may wish to go to your geneology manager and filter the people who have less than 1500 VP for the month and send them an e-mail linking to the forum post on how to make EA. Offer your help first and you'll be surprised how many will come to you, even when they're not in your downline, A2A members as well, it shouldn't matter. The more you help, the more the universe helps you.
