As in other aspects of life, developing trust with your SFI affiliates (downlines) and getting them believe in your leadership takes time and could be accomplished in the following ways:
1.) Communicate with them in a professional and courteous manner. You can elicit their interest to cooperate with you if you deal with them nicely and politely. Try to picture out yourself in their shoes.
2.) Don’t promise to them what you cannot fulfill just because you just want to get their attention and interest. If you hold a contest with your affiliates, be sure that you have the prizes that you have promised them to give once they comply with your contest requirements.
3.) Be consistent in communicating with them in terms of duration intervals, say once or twice a week, 2 times a month, monthly or if you think the information is urgent for you to let them know immediately. This consistent communication connotes your sincerity in SFI business, much more of your interest in your affiliates welfare and success.
4.) Lead them by example. Refer them to your leadership page where they could see the various SFI badges that you have been awarded by SFI through your efforts and persistence. Looking at your SFI badges obtained, your enthusiasm in SFI business will be reflected on them.
5.) Be emphatic in dealing with them. Realize that although all of us joined SFI with the ultimate objective of monetizing our efforts, we don’t have the same opportunities or resources to expand our SFI business. Having said this, a team leader needs to provide support and assistance in whatever way he can towards his downlines success. At the end of the day, his downlines success will be his own success, too, as a team leader.
6.) Be patient. Realize that not all of your downlines (affiliates) have the same background of educational and work experience. Therefore, the support you need to provide them varies. And it needs patience.
