To address this question we need to define what we mean by “superstar”. In simple terms we may say a superstar is someone who performs far above average. Superstars are people who always go an extra mile and perform far above average. These are people who sacrifice their time, money, resources and always hunger for more knowledge.
To be a superstar, you become a hero, a mentor and an exemplary to your team. To be a superstar, you need to read a lot. It is impossible to be a leader when you lack knowledge.
We find superstars in all arena’s of life e.g. music, football, tennis, golf, rugby, chess, swimming , business and many more fields. What characterizes these individuals is the spirit of team work, sharing knowledge and resources, the ability to learn and listen.
Superstars don’t spend most of their time complaining and waiting for someone to babysit them. Yes it is important to show or lead your team, but I believe you can take a horse to the river , but you cannot force it to drink. Forcing people to do something is like trying pushing a tractor with all four wheels flat.
You must show passion and the desire to succeed in business and whatever you want to achieve in life. “No Pain No Gain”.
Superstars commit a lot of money and time in sucking knowledge, they practice for hours on end. When you see Serena Williams or Michael Tyson perform, they took months, years and tears to perfect whatever they display in a tournament. What they do took a long time and effort of trial and error.
Those who have reached the top in business, sacrificed, even lost a lot of money, friends and dignity because they were mocked and ridiculed that they will never make it.
