The simple answer is its live...... SFIIM also being the only live option to communicate in SFI is very useful in building your business at SFI....So let us see when you should use it......
1. When ever anyone joins SFI, may be for a minute he becomes online......Just start a chat with him. When he will see some one real answering his question and talking live to him.....He may ask his doubts and have a great chance to comeback again.
2. Few affiliates work for few days and then disappear for some days....They may have some personal problem or may be casual.....When these affiliates sign back, write a IM immediately.
3. When ever there is a new and exciting declaration in SFI like recent Training auction or Bronze bonus, you can use your IM to inform your active affiliates......This really works nicely....
