To support and motivate your team members without demanding too much or turning them off is an acquired skill.

This is where your people skills will be tested, and using reverse psychology may work.

When you send your weekly group messages, always write a word of praise and encouragement for having them in your Team.

That they, being an important part of your Team, are valued for their efforts and putting in time to log in everyday and earning their daily VPs.

Share the achievements of other members of your Team, every milestones they reached, every little success they achieved, every contests they won, and anything else that may trigger some interest and desire for them to do the same.

Always share tips, hints, and motivational quotes from training articles and books on personal development and growth.

Share relevant posts from the Forum, or answers from ASK SC that may relate to them.

And always remind them subtly that as a team you all work together for the common good and that united you'll succeed!

A lot of good answers have already been given to this very interesting question. I will add a few of mine from observation and from reading success stories of many who have reached the top.

1. The leader has vision. Someone has already mentioned the President and Founder of SFI, Gery Carson. He has the courage to dream, the ability to organise and the strength to execute his powerful vision many years ago that affected the lives of so many people around the world. He saw the Big Picture and shared that vision with us.

2.The leader in SFI has the discipline to work hard and effectively.
When a lesser mortal would shrink from hard work and quit, the SFI leader would follow through with perseverance, grit and determination no matter what. For him, failure is not an option.

3. The leader is a reader who gathers knowledge and wisdom and not afraid to ask and seek advice and counsel from others.

4. The leader is not afraid to lead from the front, has the courage to accept own limitations yet would give his all to help and guide his team to success according to his capabilities.

5. The leader is kind,humble, friendly and is team-centered. He is sensitive to the needs and feelings of others and unselfishly share his knowledge and experience and thus able to build rapport with them.

These are just some of the few characteristics of a good SFI leader that I have observed. Leaders know where to go, what to do, and how to do it to succeed in SFI.

One of SFI's own banners that seem to attract new PSAs the best is the banner with FREE. Perhaps, the word FREE is catchy, easy to remember, and with hints of promises of success without the need for investment.

We sometimes think that this banner, although bringing in the majority of sign-ups, is the reason why we have so many inactive PSAs because when they find out later on that, although spending is not compulsory, as in setting up Standing Order, not everything is free.

But aside from that, it is the best SFI's own banner that pulls in people to join.

The other SFI's banner that also attracts people is the one with FIRST. Again, it's probably because people like the feeling of being the FIRST. It is the work of clever minds in SFI to use these kinds of banners with "FREE" and "FIRST" that appeal to people's sense of value.

What are they?

1. Start earning money by accumulating VersaPoints.

3. Maximise your income with sponsoring and duplication.
4. Add supplemental income streams (optional)

Focus your attention to building a team-

The Ultra-simple 3-step plan is the best action you can focus on-
1. Become an EA and remain an EA every month.
2. Recruit 5 Affiliates using the methods recommended in Marketing Center- Marketing Methods.
3. Teach your 5 Affiliates to do the same 3-steps.

Focus on accumulating VersaPoints-

. Never miss a day doing your Daily-To-Do actions.
. Never forget to do your Weekly actions.
. Doing your own advertising may be good for those who have the know-how, experience, time, patience, and organising skills to undertake this campaign.

For those who have little or no experience, time, patience and advertising skills, buying PSAs is the best for team building.

If your funds will allow, investing in Standing Order for share/s in S-Builder Co-op, PSAs To Go, or buying a package of 10, 20, 50 or 100s of Guaranteed Sign-ups from ECAs is best for team building as you'll be assured of continuous supply of PSAs, to replace those who opts out, or while waiting for inactive PSAs to be active.

You need to find workers from the regular supply of new sign-ups if your business is to grow. Waiting for your own advertising to show results may take time and will cause your business to stagnate.

Others have responded well to your question that it's good for affiliates to have their own ECA store at TripleClicks.

If the Affiliate has the goods and know-how, then having his own ECA store is definitely a good idea as it will help in maximising is earning capabilities.

If the Affiliate has experience in managing an online store and has a working knowledge of taking care of orders and ensuring prompt delivery of goods, knows how to source dropshippers to ensure orders are met, commissions are earned, then it is certainly to the Affiliate's benefit to have his own ECA store.

But if an Affiliate has no experience, no goods to sell, no money to pay for Sellers' license, and just relying on future speculation of making it work I don't see any reason why an Affiliate would even try to become an ECA when he hasn't even reached the EA status.

There are many indicators to show if your PSAs and CSAs are seriously building a successful SFI business.

Following on from the time you get them on your Team up to the time they become EA the signs will be there:

. If your PSAs and CSAs are constantly contacting you for help and assistance and following your advice.

. If they don't quibble about setting up a Standing Order, or purchasing items from TripleClicks, no matter how financially-challenged they may be, or the difficulty of not having a credit card for whatever reasons, they will find a way to overcome this problem.

. If they start sponsoring right away and promoting TripleClicks and referring ECAs and PRMs to generate sales.

. If they respond to your leadership by participating in any team activities, like team contest, etc. and contributing by regularly sending in their Ratings form for the previous month and giving feedback.

. If they start to participate in SFI activities, games and contests, and joining in the fun of learning, sharing, and contributing at the Forum.

. If they start to submit answers to the questions open for voting at Ask SC, just for the experience and earning another Badge, and hopefully, win the top votes for top answers, runner-up or 3rd-10th place.

. If having done the above, plus their own resourcefulness and they move on to higher levels, these are good signs.

Your Movers List will also be reflecting the level of activities and seriousness about how they treat their business. Your top 10 PSAs and CSAs will be starring there- from the top ranking and highest VP earner for the month, and more.

Their VP Ledgers will also show how well they manage their daily tasks, if their Daily To-Do lists are up to date.

Their VP Ledgers will also tell you a weakness, such as skipping an item or two. This will give you a chance to give advice and tips on how to overcome it. Next time you check, if it’s been rectified, then they're serious about the business.

Check the level of activity by clicking Activity in their Profile. It will show how many downlines are there. If you see many EAs, EA2, BTLs, or STLs, etc., then and only then can you be sure that duplication is also occurring, which will be reflected in your Genealogy.

We lead by example. We show our affiliates that SFI being a real business needs injection of cash, no matter how small. No business will get off the ground and prosper if there is no financial commitment on the part of the owner.

That in order for our business to make money, we have to put money in. It’s called priming.

In the beginning, it may take a while for some to be convinced of the need to inject a small capital into their business. Some are hesitant to even purchase a small item from TripleClicks.

As it is so easy to earn free VP and become EA during the first month, it is in their second month that we can help them understand and appreciate the importance of investing money in the form of standing order, for then they will start to struggle to earn 1500 VP.

Once I checked a site with a view to putting in an ad, and to my horror and disgust, I ended up joining a date site!

So for a shy and not internet savvy person, the best methods to grow business is to buy a share in S-Builder Co-op, PSAs To Go, or from reputable and professional ECAs. You'll get PSAs regularly from the S-Builder Co-op, and you don't need to have experience and time and know-how to put in a global ad.

SFI provides free websites, your Homepage and TripleClicks, so there's really no need to worry about building your own as it can get very costly and complicated if you don't know how to go about it and manage it.

SFI also provides power tools and so many marketing tools and aids that will help in sponsoring, promoting, and duplicating - all necessary to make a SFI business grow.
