How do I get my downline members to participate in my team contests?

In order to get your downline members to participate in your team contests you need to make the contest attractive so that members will want to participate. Prizes should be attractive as well because everyone looks forward to winning something worthwhile from a contest.

You should also make your affiliates aware of the rules of the contest so that in the end no one will feel cheated because they were not aware of the rules.

Another very good question!

To begin with, it is essential that you as soon as possible show your new affilates how to do the work right, to motivate them not to give up because they don't understand the way of SFI is functioning. Be there for them, communicate with them every day, help them to build there own buissnise becouse that is your job as their Team leader.

When it comes to your „old“ affilates, best way is to motivate them to participate in contest your offering.

Getting downlines to participate in any activities in SFI is really a mighty challenge, especially in Team Contests.

A few months back I have started three team contests. The first one was to name our team with a nice $20 Gift Certificate prize for the winner who can come up with a cool name. I promoted it in my Leadership Page, mentioned it at every opportunity in my weekly group messages, but no one has responded. The only qualification for entering was that they should be PSAs

The best way to encourage members to participate is to communicate with all team members, first, and learn all their interests.

Also, a great way to learn is to pass around a survey to see what prizes the team members like, to see what motivates them members to become involved. If you make the prizes match the team's interests there will be a better chance of participation in the contest.

Also, you need to provide an easy to understand set of contest rules and inform participants

As a Team Leader, you should be consistently sending your affiliates messages at least once a week. You need to show them that you are there for them and that you are committed to their success. By establishing close relationship to your affiliates, they will become attentive to your messages.

Good communication plays in a vital role in getting the attention of your downlines. Be prompt to answer their questions and also provide them additional information where to find answers available

Participation is an outcome of being driven or interested in something for not only self but also seeing how participating may benefit others too.

Before having your contest going "live" you may want to find out what are some interest points that your members have such as wanting to increase their affiliate numbers, sales numbers, or any other program that SFI has to offer which is of interest to team members. Not an easy thing to do, especially for someone who has just started in this business and/or only recent became a team leader. One way I think might work is to mention it in every correspondence to your down-line, including your weekly or bi-weekly newsletter. Try to get them excited about it by offering something that you know will help them succeed in their own business, eg. gift cards to tripleclick to encourage them to set up a standing order, s-builder units that will help them build their own

Answer is to Promote, promote, promote.

List your contests in your Leadership Page.
Reference them in your Stream messages.
Recognize the Winners in your Stream Messages, Group Emails weekly, and in your Leadership Page.
Ask for feedback to see if the contests are attractive to your team members.

Hello!

I guess your goal is to make affiliates more active, and team contests are a great way to do that. Just have in mind the following:

1. Let them know about the competition, than keep occasionally reminding them, through Stream posts or Team mails.

2. Give them a hint on how to accomplish the task you gave them. Maybe they need to sponsor most affiliates and they don't know how. Send them a useful tip, link, idea.

First of all, create a contest that is not too hard to accomplish. Setting it up is pretty simple,
just follow the instructions on your leadership page. Then send it out in your
weekly mailing to your downline, post it in your blog on your leadership page
and in all your mailings for the month.

Make a mention that the contest is still running
for the month and give updates as to how the contestants are doing.
