I look to see when they last logged in and did something. I see the total VP for 600VP in the last 90 days.

Since I reassign a lot to support workers so they can get 30 VP a week if they have no PSA, or simply give PSA's more affiliates that MAY eventually come to life.

I can get 5VP for the reassignment to a PSA if there is 600VP in the last 90 days. I reduce the number of GEN1 so that is more manageable for me and hopefully help my PSA's.

If they can practice and learn being supportive sponsors, it achieves progress to our goals.

And, I never say never until SFI removes the affiliate! I try to continue support to them generally with the Genealogy Group Mailer, and may on sparse occasion send a TM to an individual, without being pushy.

Perhaps offering a token, a gift, if they request and will be active to some degree. Sending a GIFT Certificate without prior two-way communication is something I firmly discourage. I have only tied up my doing that. It does not work.

Only about 3% of Internet Marketers succeed. Of those who fail, the bulk never get started.

Having said that, I would continue to send out a monthly mail to all affiliates encouraging them letting them know that Nothing has to remain the way it is if YOU dont want it to be. Life is tough and many face language and economic barriers. A little understanding and encouragement will go a long way.

The truth is Everybody with the proper support and desire can succeed in this business, if they want to. So as a leader your job is to help them overcome their fears, lack of understanding and assist if possible in removing whatever barriers they have. Those who truly want to build the business will respond, those who don't are unlikely to respond.

Sometimes the real question is Why did they sign up in the first place? From what I can see, is that many don't understand what they are responding too, or simply want to see what's on the inside of SFI.

So in these cases, dont despair. You can however send them positive encouragement to join, share a dream, share your story, paint a vision of what SFI is and can be to them.

Perhaps in some way unknown to you, your mail is what they need to read. It may provide some hope, or trigger a referral or offer support when needed.

How you respond is what sets you apart as a leader and builds your brand. Pay It Forward, Give Value in your mail, expect nothing in return.

In time the Law of Attraction will make you a Magnetic leader for caring. So many people get into this business to help others.

This is how you do so, even if they are not active. What you say may change somebody's life, so act responsibly with caring and passion expecting nothing back in return.

You are right some of the affiliates does not do anything even we offer constant encouragement and support.

They do not understand the complete earning methods in SFI.
Even they will be Financially Challenged.
You motivate them in all the ways.

Sending Team mails about the easiest ways to earn Income.
Make a Team contest and tell them to enter it and reward the hard working affiliates.
Still they are not working dont bother about them.

Make a good team with those who really hard working.

Dear Jacinta,

as you can see from the answers you got, there are three groups of SFI affiliates -


- those who will keep on sending emails hoping the team member would wake up
- those who will go out of their way to help him/her wake up (Facebook, chats, more frequent contacts)
- those who believe in what Mr Carson says and move on.

Although it sounds cruel, it's not. Some people joined SFI out of curiosity and maybe realised it's not for them. Some are not in the right stage of life. Some can't be persuaded into anything unless it is face-to-face, or by friends. Don't blame yourself - you might even not speak their language. How could you understand the culture, or the individual affiliate themselves?!

Besides, in SFI Basics, Mr Carson says that you must also Generate Sales and acquire VP. You simply need to find the time for that, too. The reason we sponsor and duplicate is to become successful - so don't let yourself spend too much time on what's not doing that.

Most of the time the affiliates might not be active or they have not white listed their mails therefore they never get them.
To be honest i had to deal with affiliates like that. The best advise is that do not give up. Give them good information but make sure it is in a clear and easy to understand way because another issue could be the language barrier. The affiliates probably don't understand ENGLISH very well so:
1. Don't give up.
2.Keep instructions simple.
3. and give helpful information.

I guess this is one the biggest deal we're dealing with here :)

Before you start judging yourself or your affiliates, try to be completely honest. Not all of us were born with same leader skills, and I'm not saying that it has to be an innate characteristic. It is an advantage of course, but as time goes by, you can learn how to become more assertive and convincing. Not to mention all the SFI sponsoring lessons which can be very helpful as well! But every lesson and tip you read try to express in your own words. Make it sound real, and that is possible only if you believe in what you are trying to explain to others. Then, if you can honestly say that you have tried your best, the rest it is up to them.
SFI is not for everybody, and it's not necessarily your fault if someone wasn't interested enough. After all, it will be THEIR end in this business, not yours!

Affiliates who never do anything are simply the WRONG affiliates!

We must be honest with ourselves and realize that the vast majority of people who register for an account with SFI are simply going to quit. They may not "opt out" but they have quit just the same.

This is not a good thing or a bad thing... it is just a fact!

What we are seeking from people is a DECISION. Get that decision and move on. Work with those who work.

For the others you can send them an email once a month and tell you how much you love them and miss them and certainly invite them back. Once in a while someone will change their mind and give it a go.

Now go find the RIGHT affiliate!

Thanks for your question as it affects many affiliates.

Some, if not most of the problems we face with others stem from misunderstanding, which sometimes has its roots in ineffective communication. In the context of a relationship between the team leader and his or her downline, it is difficult to establish a strong and successful team without the leader supporting their affiliates. So, if you are constantly rendering your support and the affiliate does nothing, there is a problem: either your message is not getting through or it is just being ignored. As the famous quote says, “You can lead a horse to water but you cannot make it drink.”

Your support as a leader is not meant to force anyone to do something but rather to help and guide. There are many would be affiliates who fish the web but who at the same time lack commitment when they have their catch. With this approach, they will move from one site to another, without clear-cut goals. When you have given your support, you have done your part, and what you can do is focus your energy on those who are willing to take up your support. For those that do nothing, maybe one day they will remember your support and realise that there can be no output without input.

There are numerous people who join SFI but then find they are in an opportunity which offers soooooo much i.e. training, support, avenues of income making etc. that they become overwhelmed.
Do not forget, all new affiliates stay registered in your 'downline' for 12 months before they are cut off if found not being active for that period.
I suggest 'keep on keeping on' and communicate with the individual affiliate for the following 12 months they are part of your team - this is done by means of email, Team posts, aSa etc.
Motivate them, let them hear/read about the achievements and successes of the rest of your team.
There is every chance they will re-look at the opportunity and become a 'star' team leader.

Do something with affiliates who do something, and do "nothing" with affiliates who do nothing.Sounds fair enough isn't it?Well I personally believe everything starts with our perception and there shouldn't be like a prescribed way of handling inactive affiliates for almost everyone of us.Why?..Because there are so many variations and levels of this inactivity and also our standing as sponsors.

Some affiliates are insecure, some are scared of being scammed,some are lazy e-mailers, some signed up because of the juicy banner or ad , just to check the details of how authentic or useful/real the program maybe and of course some clicked it by mistake and just enjoyed the ride of good words but realised they can't be possibly ready for the programme. That is why I put my "nothing" in quotes because it is not given the power to anyone of us to know the reason why the did sign up in the first place but never took further action, unless you know them personally and may want to try one-to-one talk to assist.

Many a time sponsors are just too desperate for affiliates ,esp those with only one active affiliate (like myself), while some have an adequate down line which they now concentrate on teaching how to duplicate, and so our pursuit will differ.Either way or in any other case, we may just need to face one truth with all our constant encouragement, enticement and offers of support(which I also do by the way) "we can never make a donkey plunge into the dip tank though it has more ticks than the cow, its just meant for the cow".Quite frankly our writings and other inputs possibly have very little to with their in/activity; -its principally their choice and their move first and then we chip in to assist.

We have a good calibre of sponsors in SFI,I must say,and most of them(you) are doing a good job sponsoring,but we can only go so far and to think we are not doing enough maybe a discouragement on our part,(I mean the active sponsors)beating ourselves much more is not going to change much positively and I pat you(and I) on the shoulders for the efforts and incentives so far but for those giving up too soon try a little more harder to do the rest of the suggestions written by many authors for this question, they are more than good enough...

Instead of being discouraged sometimes we may need to forbear; but still the choice is/should be ours, depending on how we personally perceive the whole thing. We just should never raise our hopes "too" high, who knows?these affiliates may resurrect from their deep slumber just from nowhere, decide to be active again, and we will still reap the benefits, because they are in our line for life!
