Not to be disrespectful but I don't feel there can be "too much" or "unnecessary communications" with your team. Obviously you don't need to send Team Mails everyday. Once a week is sufficient for most PSA's. Some individual PSA's may desire more frequent communications. If anything we don't communicate enough with our PSA's.

Trying to instruct individual affiliates about what to do when, what, why, and how much
can not only be a daunting task, but also quite exasperating; and I speak from personal experience here, when You come to realize that Your attempts at good will, and helpfulness result in a total absence of understanding on the part of the affiliate Whom You are attempting to assist. This situation is especially apparent when dealing with individuals Who do not have a firm grasp of the English language.

Hi
Ask yourself how you would feel.
Some people like to be held by the hand and others are happy to do most of the work alone.
Find a happy medium. It is a fine line and everyone will react differently.
I have found if an affiliate wants to succeed they will always want advise and will come looking for you.
In this case, more communication is better then not enough.

Hello Catherine Wanjohi,
I think that too much and unnecessary communication would be to talk to them too peronaly.
Personal life you must put aside. In my opinion, you should only talk to them in a professional way. Not too cold, not too warm. Find the golden line in between, and stick to it. You should, however offered them professional help, and let them know, that they can count on it.
I hope that my answer helped You a little :)

If you pester affiliates with communications they are bound to send then to the trash bin without reading any of them.

Communicate periodically but with content to cover one or two points without being too lengthy.

We forget the fact that many affiliates canĀ“t read English and the translators make very poor work of the job.

As it says, "One word is enough for a wise man, otherwise they are fools." Or "DOn't go around the bush." Too much, if as you communicate you always state the same techniques or strategies. Always create something new and striking. Unnecessary, if it doesn't fit their needs. Be thematic and analytical of your team's welfare. Always think of words that will stay in their minds and can
be also used as their inspiring words to others, the one you submitted in Tips tab. God

Well, I would like to say that all communication is necessary, even if you simply say hi to your affiliates, but too much and unnecessary communication would be telling your team things that wouldn't really benefit them e.g.

something like a status update on Facebook " I am going to take my pretty dog Candy for check ups its been long since I did that" seriously! if you have nothing to type better type nothing.

I like this question.
If you pressurized your team mates or downline in doing something, like making or reaching a certain level in their sfi business, it would be regard as too much and unnecessary communication.
This is because your desire is to benefit from their activities very quickly.
Why not offer and give them support first as an encouragement?
Why not offer them some incentives first?
Even though this has fallen on deaf ears...as some affiiates are very inactive.
Thank

See communication would never be a wrong thing. You are talking about unnecessary communication!
See! as we are all doing with e-commerce organization. As all we need to expand the business, communication is most important.

Nobody will discuss about the menu they served at their homes or hotels in the team mails or group/csa/psa mails. Then where is chance to unnecessary?
So how you can say unnecessary communication?
