If an affiliate wants to create and maintain their own website, I would clarify with them if they actually want a blog site or a website. Many people do not know the difference between the two. There are differences in cost and ease of management.
Then their are two types of blog sites:
1. Free ones allow advertisements to be placed on your site.
2. For a low cost you can have a blog site that you can moderate: what does or does not go on it from the public. For example, you may like to have the ability to have comments on your blogs. You can moderate that so unwanted advertisements are not put there.
The following should be included on a website or blog site:
1. Frequent blogging about what is happening at the SFI and TripleClicks Store. This will keep your affiliate higher in the search engines. Also use key words and backlinks to direct your contact to the various places in your business: SFI, TC, ECA, Wave3, Pricebeners etc.
2. Advertise Pricebender auctions, TripleClick items, and TripleClick departments with your SFI ID in the link or backlink.
3. Promote DistribuStar. Explain what the benefit is for them at the TripleClick Store such as the purchase of an EBook for as low as 1 TCredit. Explain MRP.
4. Have a form on each page of your website for people to fill out their name and email address so you can build you list and contact these people without spamming. You could offer a free download for filling out the form.
5. Use the banners and squeeze pages etc. that are free from SFI.
6. Have a page for your contact information.
7. Have a page for your own experience, success story and mission in SFI.
8. Let people know about all the benefits, contests and winning prizes available.
9. Let your enthusiasm shine.
10. Have connections on your website to places like your social sites like, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Linked In etc.
11. Join Tumblr, a social site that allows your posts there go directly to your website or blogsite.
These are just some of the many ideas to have a successful site.
