The number one biggest mistake I believe is thinking you know what the customer wants. Put another way might be to say you believe your customer wants, or likes what you do.

The most important thing is to listen to your customer. To listen to what they say about what they want/need.

It is a complex topic for a 500+ pages book. I’ll try to be concise and to expose the most important mistakes:

- Do rather offer benefits of getting goods and/or services from you than direct sell. People don’t want to hear about your articles for sale or services you offer, they expect from you to solve the problems they have. They don’t need goods, they need benefits from goods. There are many mistakes that one can make in advertising.

I'll try to draw your attention just to a few traps, which are in my opinion, most important to avoid.

The biggest mistake that you can make when advertising is a costly mistake.

Example 1
When you are advertising an item whose price has been reduced, be certain that the item has previously been sold at the new price because pricing mistakes may creep in leading to the item being advertised as selling at a price that may cripple the seller. Avoid costly typos.

The biggest mistake to avoid is putting your attempt to make money before offering value and a solution to your affiliates/clients/customers.

When advertising it is important to show them how you can fulfill a need a for them. People can see when you don't have their interests in mind. They can tell when you are putting yourself first and that is not a good way to conduct business.

There are some mistakes we do generally , may be few thing we need to remember in our work

-> Keeping affiliates engaged, excited, productive and proactive in what is becoming a virtual work place.

The biggest mistake in advertising is trying to sell something! People have a built-in "wall" when it comes to advertising. If they only see someone that is trying to get them to give up their hard-earned cash, they will tune you out within 5 seconds!

Depending on the type of advertising, don't sell a product, offer a solution! You are not advertising to make money, you are advertising to help solve a problem! That's the mindset to take to your ad.
