Dear Aaron,
I'm 100% that every affiliate who is somewhat perseverant and determinated can have success with SFI; whatever the country he(she)lives.
First, because we're mostly working with Internet. It means that we can connect with almost the entire world. And so, even if you have difficulties to find new affiliates, TripleClicks consumers or ECAs in your own country, you can prospect at the moment in over 190 countries.
Second, I strongly believe that one affiliate's success doesn't depend on parameters such as the economical situation of his (her) own country, how many people are living in that country, the language he (she) is speaking...but much more on this affiliate's goals (short term as much as long term goals) and his (her) determination to achieve those goals.
I can take my own country as an example. I'm French. And, even if France is one of the 10 richest countries in the world, at the moment, my country has not a great position on the Country Leaders board and has a few seriously active affiliates. In fact most of african and asian countries are doing much better that my own country. There are a few reasons for that:
-we aren’t good with foreign languages. So I think that as soon as french people see that it's all in English, they just run away as fast as they can :):):)
-we don't know much about affiliation's system (or multi level marketing). So they get also easily suspicious about SFI.
What I try to prove with this example is that you'll certainly have much more determination and willingness that a lot of people in my own country which is a privileged country.
Now I'm over with the theory (sorry for writing such a long answer!!!). And there are a few tips that I can give you:
1. write down your goals (short and long term goals). And as soon as you're somewhat discouraged, read them again to get some strength back. Every single person on this planet has dreams. But if you want some of your dreams to come true, you need to fix yourself goals and turn them into actions.
2. become an "a2a" member and get in contact with affiliates living in Africa like you. So you'll certainly have the opportunity to share experience and to find solutions about issues specific to the area or the country you're living in.
3. if your affiliate don’t speak English, try to translate your welcome message in their own language (I usually use Google’s translator) then send them a mail to explain them how to use the translation’s tool provided by SFI and also other translation’s tools that can be found. Explain them also the importance of becoming an “a2a” member so that they can exchange with people who speak the same language as they do. Indeed, a lot of persons seem never coming back on SFI and never starting to collect some VP, just because they don’t understand what it’s written. So it’s quite important to let them know that there’s always a way to communicate with them if you don’t speak the same language.
4. communicate with your CSAs as much as with your PSAs because you never know if your CSAs’ sponsor is doing is job well or not. And if you want to build a strong and united team, communication is ESSENTIAL.
5. and of course, promote TripleClicks as much as SFI. I don’t know if websites such as TripleClicks exist in your country. But in my country, there are many many websites like TripleClicks. And they all earn millions of dollars every year. But the difference between them and Tripleclicks is the boss of those companies doesn’t share the profits with his employees. And so the only person who gets rich is the boss !!!
I hope my answer will help you and help other affiliates who could feel like they don’t live in the right country to be successful with SFI.
Wish you all a lot of fun and success with SFI.
