As your Downline grows it’s very important that you become a leader.
It's common knowledge that helping downline set and reach goals is a critical part of every sponsor's job.Goal-setting is particularly important as a mechanism for providing ongoing and year-end feedback. By establishing and monitoring targets, you can give your PSA real-time input on their performance while motivating them to achieve more.
As a leader it will be your “job” to train them to share the business, enroll reps and in turn train them to do the same.
#1. *Teach the Basics to your downline:
Start by setting definite goals in terms of what your PSA is expecting from the business. Know what steps are they willing to take to achieve their goals. Your PSA should always start with an end in mind. Help them map their course to success.
*Next, help your downline build a prospect list.
Everyone knows at least 150 people. That may sound like a lot of people to your PSA, but as they start thinking of all the people they come in contact with, the list can sometimes be larger than 150. Family, friends, co-workers, church family, and others that they come in contact on a weekly basis that would be interested in making a little (or a lot) of extra money in this economy.
*Put the list in the order of easiest to approach.
Your PSA will become more comfortable talking about the business if they are successful in the beginning of enrolling reps to begin their own downline.
As your downline starts to grow, you will be able to see the leaders rise to the top. They will step up and want to become the leader for their own downlines. These leaders will follow your lead and share with their own downlines the basics you shared with them. You can change from teaching to coaching.
#2. Teach the basic skills of being a leader:
#3. Set Higher Goals for your Downline: Encourage your downline to focus on their dreams of nicer homes, new cars, vacations, substantial retirement fund, and so on. Keep encouraging them to strive for their goals. Set the example by reaching your own goals and then setting higher ones for yourself.
Getting into your downlines' heads is vital to knowing what makes them tick and helping them stay active and achieving. When they, and you, get a sense of where they would like to be and how they would like to make Stampin' Up work for them, you will have a direction to focus your efforts. Together you will achieve far more with this sense of purpose.
