As beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so the activities that are over or under rated by SFI Affiliates will vary greatly and one cannot therefore generalize. So in my humble opinion I see the following:

Over-rated Activity:

This is the activity of obtaining Versa Points during the initial Getting Started, Intermediate and Advanced sections on the ToDo tab. I myself reached STL (Silver Team Leader) in a few weeks, but there was no one to guide me to inform me that it's better to only earn 1500VP the first month to become Executive Affiliate, and then to save the rest of the obtainable 1500VP for the second month to become Executive Affiliate2. The third month would be ideally the month to reach BTL (Bronze Team Leader) using the monthly Standing Order and action points equally.

I've learnt from this escapade and am now wisely advising my downline PSAs and CSAs to follow this pattern rather than just earning VP as fast as one can. Granted, the Fast Track bonus of earning an additional 200VP is to be promoted since the SFI Affiliate will now see that they will gain VP for many different tasks.

There should be a cliché that all SFI Affiliates adopt regarding Versa Points:
"Versa Points are gold nuggets and should be treated as such"

Why do I say this? I say this because we treat VP as if they grow on trees and are easily earned, but ALAS!, we soon find after 2 or 3 months that they are hard to come by if we haven't treated them as gold nuggets. At this point in the 'game' we eagerly look for VP every which way we can to obtain them.

If we train our downline correctly, we will have many EA/EA2s being able to pass on the duplication method to there and there downline's benefit too. This will in turn benefit us as Team Leaders.

Under-rated Activity:

This is the ECA Program from which most of the commissions come from to make SFI successful. We should be placing a lot more importance on enrolling ECAs, and especially locally, so that we can promote and help small businesses grow, thus growing the economy of the country at the same time.

This will probably be a little contraversial but I think that concentrating on gaining versa points for completing the daily tasks is over rated. Sure you can get around 300 VP's per month from it and you really should be reviewing all the information contained in the daily tasks but it's not going to make you rich.

Remember that we need sales and duplication to be able to make serious money. I think that these two are the most under rated activites. If we don't make sales and purchases then there will be no money to go around and in order to increase the sales and purchases we need to concentrate a lot more on duplication. The more people involved with SFI and TripleClicks the more sales and purchases are made and the more money there is to go around.

I am going to throw in one more activity that I think is under rated and that is Team Building. I don't mean getting more and more people in your team but rather the relationship you have with these people. Like probably most of us I got into SFI to try and make some money. I find now that this is only a secondary concern to me. My number one priority in SFI is to try and help my team members find success. SFI has become my social media.

Underrated activities..... there are a whole lot of them.

Affiliates must read the Topics in the Forum. They must realize that the tips and the information that they could pick up there, are very valuable and will help them a lot.

THEN: The News - What happens if you don't read that? OBVIOUSLY, you would not have noticed the opportunity to make extra VP's, on recapping - to be a great sponsor.

Also, signing in daily and complete the actions on your to do-list IS the biggest underrated activity of all!

Newly signed-up Affiliates expect the money to drop in their laps and if they have not made a killing within the first couple of days, or when they've realised that it is hard work, they simply don't bother to sign in anymore. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A "QUICK RICH SCHEME" - IF THERE WAS: WE WILL ALL BE RICH!!!! Success takes skills, small and good investments and hard work!

How can anyone expect to run a successful business if they turn up for work once in a blue moon, not to mention that they don't even stay long enough on that rare occasion to open the imaginary doors to their business-site.

Why did you register in the first place?

The most Overrated activity would be the PriceBenders Auctions. I really don't agree on the: UP TO 90% SAVINGS.

Affiliates must read the Topics in the Forum. They must realize that the tips and the information that they could pick up there, are very valuable and will help them a lot.

The activities for SFI affiliates are many and the results also vary from one person to another. However there are some activities that are overrated and some are underrated in general.

The most overrated activities of SFI affiliates are in my opinion :

1. PB Auction - This activity is no doubt a winner if one is able to learn the art of bidding. But generally people become emotional while bidding or they are afraid when they see power bidders. Hence get confused and make mistakes.In my opinion this is the most overrated activity.

2. Voting on ASK SC - I feel the voting is quite haphazard and find some advice ridiculous for example you are advised not use ALL CAPS even though you have not done it.

The most underrated activities of SFI affiliates are in my opinion:

1. Promoting ECA Program. Many affiliates are not well aware of this and are not really understanding the power of it,Hence not concentrating on promoting it.

2. Promoting TripleClicks products of other ECA's : By promoting products of other ECA's it is easily possible to earn some good income monthly. Most people do not understand how to do it, you have to click the product you want to promote and in the details section you will find the link that will help you earn by promoting that product.

The most over-rated activities:-
1. ASK SC. I have found that either I am reading and rating the same answers more than once or people are copying answers. It gets a bit tiresome rating similar or same answers over and over every day to achieve 1VP. If they are being repeated by some mischance then the person is being rated numerous times by the same person!
(I have found many very interesting and helpful answers but to be honest I would rather rate a 1 - 10 than a yes or no answer)

2. Joining Co-ops where you only receive your affiliates 6 -8 weeks later. New Affiliates want to build their team NOW! Not spend two months worth of $'s before they see 1 Affiliate, let alone an active Affiliate. I think Co-ops that advertise Affiliates should produce in no longer than 72 hours & new sign-ups. To pay $20 - $30 per month and only get one or two signups is very expensive and too slow.

The most under-rated activities:-
1. The Forum - It is unbelievable the new information that I learn daily from reading the latest posts and specific topics that I am looking in to. We have many intelligent and experienced forum members who contribute amazing answers that help the new as well as the older members of SFI. I don't want to suggest awarding VP for contributing to the Forum but maybe a few VP for joining?? I don't know the answer to that but I most certainly, regularily remind my Affiliates to go to the Forum or copy and paste a link to group emails, team mails and streams, that my team would find useful.

2. a2a membership. I think most people join because they earn the initial VP, but I have found some remarkable people out there that I would never have known otherwise. I have been helped by a2a friends and have also been priviledged to be able to help one or two a2a friends as well. A few lines here and there is not hard to do.

By far the most overrated aspect of SFI is the use of "FREE".

You can sign up for "FREE".
You can reach EA for "FREE".
You can earn money for "FREE".

Yes, Gery, God bless him, makes it possible for everyone at SFI to actually make a little money without spending a dime. He also provides one of the richest learning experiences available on the interwebs for “FREE”.

But if you think you’re going to “get rich” for “FREE” you need to rethink.
I do understand that the pittance that the executive pool share “earns” an EA is nearly half the monthly income for some individuals in some of the countries represented in SFI.
But frankly, focusing on what you can do for “FREE” isn’t going to cut it in the getting rich department.

So stop focusing on the “FREE” and start focusing on the most underrated aspect…

MAKING SALES!!!!!

If no one ever buys anything then the executive pool share is ZERO. Besides the real money is in the commission, In My humble Opinion the 3 Step plan should be a 4 step plan and read as follows.

1 Become EA
2 Stay EA by making sales
3 Find 5 people that will do steps one and two
4 Teach those 5 people how to find 5 people that will do steps one and two.

Find a product and SELL IT. Stop focusing on the “FREE”!

When I saw your question, my mind quickly jumped to the many forum posts that I have read, coupled with some of the questions, friends and affiliates have asked me in the past. I am sure, that all the answers you will get from this question will boil down to personal opinion. Just maybe…


We have several activates here on SFI and TripleClicks which are carried out on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Some of the actions are but not limited to the following:


1. Earning by accumulating Versa Points - You get Versa Points instantly by completing
simple basic actions on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.


2. Generate Sales at TripleClicks.com – Here, each time someone you have told about
TripleClicks Or SFI buys something at TripleClicks.com, you earn 45% CV Direct
Commission


3. Income maximization by sponsoring and duplication. Here you earn income by leading
and teaching your team of active affiliates to grow.


Those are some of the activities that we affiliates are supposed to be doing. But you know what? Some affiliates place more emphasis on some of the activities than others. Hence your question ‘’…what is the most overrated activity and what is the most underrated activity’’.


Personally, the most overrated activity here on SFI is carrying out activity just to earn Versa Points. And the most underrated activity is team building (sponsoring and duplication), I will give reasons why.


One of the reasons why accumulating Versa Points is so overrated is because some of the daily, weekly and monthly actions are very easy to do with little or no stress. So what most affiliates especially the ‘’greenhorns’’ do is to get at least 1500VP to enable them to earn. I have repeatedly told affiliates who have that type of mindset, that SFI is not some ‘’Paid To Click’’ site where you click to get points. This is a real business and should be treated as such.


For instance, when I first came in here as a new affiliate, I had that same mindset, for the first two to three weeks. I am sure that more that 50 percent of the newbie’s have that same mindset and continue to do so.


Mostly, affiliates over look team building and duplication. This is one of the most UNDERRATED activity in SFI by affiliates. The KEY to creating a major income in SFI is by learning to lead and grow a TEAM of active SFI affiliates, because as a team leader, you'll turn on one of the most lucrative components of the SFI compensation plan called ‘’Versa Points matching’’. It would be surprising to know that some affiliates are yet to know this. Hence, they go about chasing Versa Points and badges!


To conclude, I will quote a section of SFI basics just to highlight my points above. ‘’Scoring Versa Points and generating sales at TripleClicks.com are a great way to start earning money with SFI, but if you want to a create a major monthly income stream, you must employ sponsoring and duplication.’’


And also,


‘’Anyone can get someone to sign up free as an affiliate, and even earn some 45% Direct Commissions via TripleClicks sales, but if you stop there, you'll be leaving the big bucks for someone else.’’


In essence, a balance needs to be made here. ‘’Sponsor and duplicate’’ by teaching your down-lines to be active and to be as successful as you. You do this by completing your daily/weekly/monthly actions. And also, generate Sales at TripleClicks.com which is the driving force of SFI.

The most overrated activity is earning VP. VP is pushed at the beginning as a means to get the affiliate into the Executive Pool so that they will earn money, however, we all know that these early earnings are minute in comparison to what will come if we work the business. This is really more for learning to work a business and build it up.

There is a lot of information available on the SFI site ob a daily basis, so encouraging affiliates to come here and explore the site daily is important, but often affiliates concentrate on the VP they can earn as an alternative to actually learning to run their business as a business.

We can't make money if we don't have sales of some kind, but that doesn't necessarily mean that we have to sell products or services of our own. The reason to connect with ECAs at TripleClicks is to help to promote their products, bringing more income for them as well as ourselves. If we have items that we want to sell or if we want to market our business online, then this is a plus.

The most underrated activity is Ask SC. Most people come to Ask SC so that they can earn VP and entries into the Daily Grand. It is one of the activities on the Homepage.

There have been complaints that answers are either shown to us more than once or there is a lot of copying going on. I agree. I don't like the system of advising the author. There is a place for that, though. What bothers me the most is the (mostly) Americans who say that it is supposed to be in English and so if it isn't they automatically mark it no. This is actually quite unfair to everyone else in the world and it reflects a poor attitude of us Americans. Who says that everything has to be in English? Yes, there is a translator here to translate pages to other languages for our foreign affiliates, but I have often told them to get a translator. The reason for this is because I feel that when an answer is posted in their language it is because they are using the translator and have written their answer in their language and then when they post it the answer doesn't get translated back to English. Therefore, if they have a translator not on SFI and they write an answer or a question, they will translate the answer to appear here.

I would rather see some kind of rating system that doesn't put down or discourage someone for grammatical errors or spelling errors. Answers should be rated on the value of the content. Is it fair to condemn a man because of one small mistake when the overall content of his character or his life is not bad? Is no one allowed to make a mistake or omit something? And what about telling someone that their answer is too short. There was a question here that asked how would you describe SFI in one sentence. When I did that I got many Advice answers that my answer was too short. I answered in one sentence, which is what was asked for. If I am asked what I do and I tell you and you don't think the answer is long enough, that is your problem. I have told you what I do.

Overall I think we forget that Ask SC is an extension of the Forum. We are teaching our PSAs and CSAs that the forum is a wonderful place to search for help if they can't get help from their sponsor or other upline.

Hmm! Interesting question,

I believe due to individuality, every activity in the SFI Affiliate Center is beneficial. What one person considers an overrated activity, another might view it as underrated. Our personal background, ethics, knowledge, needs, talents and experiences determines what areas of the Affiliate Center we find more beneficial and which areas we may find mundane.

Many consider the encouragement to log in daily overrated; others, a necessity.

Ironically, I consider it both. It depends on what the basis is for the presentation and how it is presented. I am frustrated with those who tout "log in daily to get your versa points." If this were the only reason to log in daily, then it seems pointless to be doing the system.

However, when others tout "log in daily to stay up to date on news and changes in the system, and oh don't forget you get versa points along with it," it appears more educational and caring.

I struggled for awhile with the concept of "log in daily." It had to do with how it was presented and the underlying message it seemed to be sending, which was basically: "get your points," as well as personal ethics and needs.

I finally decided my needs take priority over what others were telling me. They are saying what they think to be the ideal; however, they do not know my individuality. Therefore, I made the decision that I will NOT log in daily. I believe it is irreverent to work (log in) on a Sabbath; therefore, I do not. I am very comfortable with my personal decision. Once, I made this decision, it has been simple to tune out the still constant reminders from others to log in daily, as it does not pertain to me.

However, I think it is important to log in on the rest of the work days. I view it as though I were driving to work daily.

So, to answer your question, there is no overrated or underrated activity. Each individual benefits from each activity in different ways. It depends on how we utilize the tools given us. After all, using a screwdriver to pound in a nail is ineffective compared to using a hammer on the same nail.

The most overrated activity is recruiting, and the most underrated activity is selling.

When you first join a network marketing company, you very quickly learn that you need to build a big team to earn lots of money. So, you start recruiting as hard as you can. However, there is a difference between recruiting and sponsoring, and most affiliates focus on one at the expense of the other.

Recruiting is signing up new PSAs, while sponsoring is supporting and helping the PSAs you already have. If you are spending all your time recruiting, and not enough time sponsoring, you may have a big team of PSAs, but most of them will be inactive. By spending less time on recruiting and more time supporting the PSAs you do have, you will have a smaller team, but it will consist of more active members. This is what you are aiming for in your team building efforts, and it's why recruiting - or too much recruiting - is overrated.

At the other end of the scale, selling often tends to be the last thing people focus on in any network marketing business, and SFI is no exception there. What many affiliates tend to forget is that the only way SFI as a whole makes money is by selling products. If TripleClicks didn't make any sales this month, it wouldn't matter how big our teams are, or how many VP we have earned; there wouldn't be any money in the TripleClicks Executive Pool to be shared out. That's an extreme example, but I think it illustrates the point.

The first task for any new affiliate should be selling products at TripleClicks. Then he or she can move on to recruit a small number of PSAs, and teach them to do the same. That is the key to success with SFI, and it's completely the opposite of what most people tend to do.
