Very good question. My philosophy as a online marketer is to read as wide as possible. I ascribe to this philosophy and encourage my team to ascribe to it as well. When you are a newbie, very little is known about the mechanism that is online marketing. The beauty with the internet is that there are many road that lead to success, the trick is to determine for yourself which method best suit you.
There will never be one book that will deliver all the knowledge needed to succeed in any sphere of endeavor. To become an Engineer, I had to learn English, Mathematics, Chemistry and other subject matter totally unrelated to the core Engineering field. I strongly belief that a similar approach is needed to learn and grow in SFI. To become a successful online marketer, you have to work on different aspect of your business, not only the mechanics of the system but also your personal development and mindset. These are quite different disciplines.
For online marketers, the similar situation exist, you have to learn multiple disciplines. The industry is too dynamic to rely on one book or one set of book. The changes are too fast and for you to keep up your reading list has to evolve.
There are good books on list building, building duplication, social media etc... All have valuable content. The one that is best would be the one that resonate best with you and your personality. Social marketing may not be for you, maybe email marketing is your thing or offline techniques would better suit to your personality.
Therefore, the book that will give you greatest value may very well be the greatest book and #1 recommendation for you.
They ask leaders are readers. This is true, the more you acquire useful knowledge the better suited you are to build a strong and prosperous team with SFI.
I particularly like ebooks,my recommendation is any ebook that focuses on list building and duplication. Having a strong team behind you is your top priority. Having a huge list of CSA's and PSA's is your number one asset hence all effort must be place on building a list and promoting duplication in that list. Any book that promote this, is well worth reading.
