The best way to set up automatic messages that go out to current and future affiliates is to use an autoresponder. Here's what you do:

1. Sign up for an autoresponder service like GetResponse.
2. Write a series of informative messages that will last for a period of time. It can be up to 6 mos at a time. Some autoresponders may allow for longer periods of time.

I know that automatic email could be a good and easy thing, however, I believe the value of each email needs to be pertinent to the things that are happening on a day to day basis. For example, each time SFI makes a new announcement is the time to capitolize on that and send an email about it.
Occasionally I send out an email that is generic, but mostly I focus on the events and things that are current. SFI and the daily occurances along with making the email something that your affiliates

There are several things you can do. First, set up your new greeting. Then, send messages that you feel are current or up to date through the Stream, PSA Mailer, CSA Mailer and the Genealogy Mailer. It's vitally important that you send personalized, up-to-date messages. It depend on what automatic mesaging you want. If you want want a series of messages to be sent at regural interval then Auto-responders can do this. But if you like to send different message to different people in your genealogy then you must do filtering first then click that envelop icon to send message to those people that you filter.

well on SFI you cannot but you can go to gmail, hotmail, aol, and a few other places and setup a auto-reply but really that isn't a good ideal because every time someone would email you they would get the same message. At least I wouldn't do that I want to show people I am a real person.

To do so, you will need to setup an automatic message delivery services also known as autoresponder. There are some companies that offers the services on the internet. Signup with them and you are good to go.

I use an auto responder for some of my emails. Particularly the ones that I send to new affiliates on a regular interval. The others I do through SFI mailers. Sfi doesn't have any automated email other than the initial welcome letter from you.
