You may be better off getting them to sign up for free at first and not discussing about the business, by sending them an email at first and insist that they register for free. They need to understand the online concept first, which also saves you time and increases your reach in penetrating the market. Later on once they have registered, you should best have a webinar with them and make it mandatory that you go through the 20 rules for success with SFI along with them, without which there can be

Dont complicate it. Make it as simple as possible. Remember what/who convinced you to join SFI and how they did it? The reasons why you readily joined? It will be that easy with your target market. Easy as 1 2 3, A B C

To present SFI/TC opportunities to potential customers without overselling. You must first know what your customers are interested in by conducting surveys branded by SFI or TC.
This will allow you to decide what kinds or people are interested in your product or service. In addition by branding your surveys, this will act as another promotional tool to further attract potential customers.

Understanding the techniques of SFI and how each facet functions is essential. Being honest and able to explain briefly the inner workings without exaggeration or hesitation will be more appealing to anyone only slightly curious. Most prospects are skeptical because of all the schemes and scams. I believe that is the "Achilles heel" of this type of business. Being informed and educated will eliminate the negative 1st impression and keep the prospect interested.

Never come across desperate, no matter how much you may need the income. My answer to people is NO PROBLEM. I use story telling as my technique. I tell my story as well as other people's success stories. Remember, SOME WILL, SOME WON'T, SO WHAT, WHOSE NEXT.

You must demonstrate the success potential of an opportunity, you must communicate credibility and professionalism to instill confidence. The simpler your presentation, the better. Provide evidence of the longevity and reliability of this opportunity by using your own example as proof. Do not bombard prospects with too much information, keep your presentation brief and concise, emphasizing on the simplicity of the sign-up process and the benefits to the prospects.

TripleClick gift cards are perfect to combat this fear. There is ZERO RISK of overselling, because there is no selling...just hand them a card and tell them to check it out! SFI e-cards are another passive approach which has no cost for those on a tight budget.
X-Cards are another affordable option.
