The fact that many people respond first of all shows how effective SFI is as an advertising machine. The fact that people do not stick with SFI may be because they are looking for that magic solution to all their needs without you doing anything. They want it here and now - often without any goals or action plan. They do not realise that every success story is based on some game plan.
On the other hand they fail to see the benefits of good organisations like SFI that offer their services for free and without obligation.

The reason is quite simple: too many people are wary about the goings on in this particular type of endeavor. Simply investing time and money on a venture yet to be proven worthwhile is quite a challenge in itself.

The thing that you could do is to help the member understand that this site does enjoin active participation. This simply means marketing products to member affiliates who would (hopefully) buy and personally make purchases, as well.

No business is a good business without spending and buying. SFI is one of them. It is true that any member affiliate will earn provided their fellow affiliates would work much harder than they do.

The main culprit here is willingness to part away with one's money. And if the member affiliate resides in a weak economic nation (read: little money in one's pockets) then the possibility of this member not going 100% is quite a certainty.

Unfortunately, neither you nor any of the affiliates could do anything about this because this is rather a very sensitive and personal issue to an affected fellow member.

The only thing left for you to do is to guide the member affiliate accordingly and, hopefully, make this member confident enough to take the first step in making a market for himself. SFI, after all, is a MARKET AND SALES ORIENTED site. Every affiliate is enjoined to MARKET SFI and patronize TRIPLECLICKS as its partner site in building a successful career with them.

Lets face it, we live in a world where most people are too busy to focus on anything at all. My suggestion is that you share your passion for SFI with them. Explain why you love this so much. Share the things you really like most about SFI with them. Most of all, try to be a good friend to them. Most people today lack quality friends who will share ideas with them and help them become more prosperous. Be a friend!

I agree with most of the comments regarding "Why do so many people join SFI and then do nothing". I have dealt with this the entire time since joining SFI. I also members on my team, whom have join and no matter what encouragement they are given, they still do nothing. My point is, yes you join because it is easy to join; and they don't understand you have to work to be successful. SFI is a great resource and there is a lot of avenues that you can take with SFI. Until those who do nothing, understand the tools and the resource SFI has given them, they are not going to do nothing. I just keep contacting those on my team, hoping that one day they will get the concept!

SFI is a real business like selling flowers, a cafeteria or restaurant, and any other small and medium-sized businness. The thumb rule is that a regular business needs three years to become succesful. The first to establish, the second to become stable, and the third to earn. With SFI you do not need too much time if you follow this rules: Keep doing all your tasks (one-time, daily, intermediate and month To-Do), become an EA, and then a TL. Because not everyone has business experience, they do not understand what to do. The most important thing is oneself. Keep going, regardless what your CSA's do. Keep consistent and with perseverance, you will reach all your goals, even in less than a year. Keep going!

That so many people join SFI is testament to the effectiveness of SFI advertisement. SFI advertising is so good it grabs people’s attention especially those who are looking to earn extra money. That it is free to join makes the decision easier. But once they log in, find out so many procedures to read and learn, become bogged down by information overload, they simply stop as they struggle to understand the procedure, hence they become inactive. Maybe they are experiencing personal, financial or other problems, who knows?
What to do? Just keep on being an Awesome Sponsor. These people need guidance and help to get started. Keep reaching out to them, keep communication going, sharing news and valuable tips to inspire them, but don’t give up on them. Eventually, some will listen and sit up and take action, others may quit altogether but don’t stress yourself. One cannot force a horse to drink even if you drag him to the waterhole. Be patient, though, and keep on explaining that SFI is the greatest internet business going around but not a get-rich-quick scheme. Meanwhile, you are showing leadership by sponsoring, teaching, and duplicating yourself and enjoying the journey with other successful and interesting Affiliates the world over.

A lot of people join SFI and then do nothing. I feel terribly disappointed when I see people that I respect join and back off after a while. I think in my opinion they all wanted to start hearing or receiving big money immediately. Some even sign up and never visit the site again. I have many of such. But what I do is send them regular attractive and encouraging mails. For the ones that are close to your location, you can call them up on phone or meet with them to discuss.

What I do as I look at my geneology and see 76 inactive people I always include them in team mails I write to let them know that I am always here for them If they would like questions answered or advice or any help at all just in case they check in again someday,
and if they never come back then at least you know you have done your best and also had some good self training to be a good leader by never giving up !

Many people join looking for a get rich quick scheme. If you have people under you who have joined but remain inactive the best you can do is send them encouraging messages regularly to try to inspire them to be more active. Sometimes a little encouragement along with hints and tips offered regularly are enough to make them give SFI another chance.

There are some things you can do like contacting them and explaining to them the benefits of SFI but I think you know that already. The main point is the 80% rule:
80% of people on the internet join a program and don't do anything in it. Simple as that. All we can do is deal with it and focus on the other 20% that actually do want to succeed with the program.
