I send everyone in my team a weekly letter asking if anyone has any problems or if they need any help. I also send out extra follow up letters to those who are not being active with SFI once a week for about a month or so. I try to send letters with engaging questions to try to get a reply from them. If I get a reply that is awesome and hopefully I can help get them active with SFI again, even if I don't get a reply I still send them the weekly team letter. So technically I never give up on them but I push really hard for about a month or so to try to personally connect with them and get to the root of the problem.

From personal experience I can tell you that you wont get everyone going at the same time it took me two years to really give SFI a chance. When I first started I was expecting pie in the sky but the dessert never showed up so I let it fall by the wayside. But my sponsor continued to email me when she sent her weekly mailings. So last year, I decided to see if SFI was worth the work required, and I began to advertise, promote and invite and began to take off slowly and steadily and am still around, because every month I receive a return on my investment. So email the affiliates that don't respond because one day they could become the push you need to reach your next level.

Never give up on anyone - always be available to help whenever people want the help. It is a mistake to get sucked into a constant frustration of people in your downline who maybe inactive at present. The important thing is to realize that the more people you refer the more people will be ACTIVE - it's the half full/ half empty senario. Always think positive. Once I was a door to door salesman - I knew there would be orders if I went to enough doors, so I didn't care if there were orders from a particular household or not, I treated EVERYONE as a customer, and the sales were always there for the taking. With SFI its the same - most people will not be interested - but there will be some who will be so interested you wont even need to contact them for them to complete their training and start referring people right left and centre. So I would say just relax and let the magic of SFI happen - you keep on advertising and referring and the pieces will all fit into place just fine

I send an email via the SFI system to all PSA's and CSA's every week on a Monday morning. It can be an inspirational message, or a tidbit of interesting information that I have seen on the SFI website.
With regard to the 'workers' I keep in touch constantly with them, and answer their queries by return.
I don't think there is any point in giving any more time to inactive affiliates. If they're interested they'll get involved, if not, all the emails in the world will not get them going. Remember, they are still receiving my weekly messages to remind them of the opportunity.
