I have to start by saying here that being a Sponsor to an affiliate is like being a Mentor to a protege. It's like also being a parent to a baby; but the little difference here is that some of these affiliates do not really behave like proteges or children. This is the factor that determines how far a sponsor should go in help his/her affiliates. Aside that, every sponsor should go as far as any length in assisting his/her committed affiliates, by:
1. Regularly encouraging them through team mails as well as direct emails to forge ahead in spite of any seeming challenges.
2. Share tips and valuable information with them.
3. Assist with gift certificates and TCredits when you see them in need of such.
4. Do try to answer their questions, as much as possible; that helps them feel they have got a true sponsor in you.
Remember, you may not get some of them stepped up immediately, but a little patience may turn things around for you and them. Sometimes, I go to the point of dropping my phone numbers with some of them, especially those from the same country, so that we can interact better, as to properly put them through.
But then, we have to point out here that nothing grieves and discourages like having an inactive affiliate who does nothing, asks no questions, responds not to any mail, and shows no sign of seriousness. For such ones, get the wings and fly before they drag you down.
I hope this helps.
