Marketing SFI to people who use mobile devices instead of computers requires pointing out exactly what they can do with their mobile devices to work their SFI and TC business. Currently, many of these people may think that you need a ‘real’ computer to function effectively in the online business world but it’s simply not true. So your job is to let them know just how easy and effective they can be even 'just' using a mobile device, and what options SFI and TC have that work well on these.
First of all, the SFI and TC sites are optimised for mobile devices. This basically means that they are ‘mobile friendly’, which allows those accessing the sites from these devices to effortlessly and comfortably navigate their way around. In the case of SFI affiliates, mobile users can easily and efficiently perform all the tasks required of them each day without ever switching on a computer. In the case of TC members, they can navigate the TC site to find products, play games, participate in auctions and so on, all from their mobile device.
If they’re like the vast majority of mobile users, they’ll be carrying their mobile ‘office’ around with them most everywhere they go. Show them how easy it is to log in and do their daily tasks, buy, promote and sell TC products through online classified sites, safe lists and traffic exchanges, play games, bid on auctions and so on, all whilst they’re ‘on the go’. Whenever and wherever they have a few minutes of free time - whilst waiting for, or travelling on, public transport, during a work or shopping break or any of those other multitude of times during the day when a few spare moments present themselves.
Demonstrate how to use mobile apps such as WhatsApp, Skype, GoToMeeting, Slack, Webex and other mobile conferencing and communication apps to communicate with their team members at any time of the day or night. Apps like Webex also allow you to arrange and host webinars - show them how they can utilise apps like this to train their team and promote SFI and TC.
Illustrate the many ways in which they can turn their mobile device into a powerful business tool by using mobile apps. There are apps available that will:
§ allow them to connect with current and potential customers,
§ market TC products and offer deals (great for ECA’s in particular),
§ provide customer support (an app called Desk for example monitors emails and social media and collects important alerts in real time, allowing for a prompt response to customers / audience / followers),
§ manage social media promotion (HootSuite springs to mind – schedule Tweets and posts, keep in touch with industry influencers etc)
§ provide regular updates to customers and team members
§ manage accounts and tax obligations
§ create and manage blogs and websites
§ write articles and blog posts
and many many more. Just do a Google search and let them see for themselves just how powerful a business tool their mobile device can be with the addition of a few simple apps.
No doubt these mobile users are already using their mobile devices to connect with FaceBook and other social media platforms. Show them how to use social media to promote SFI and TC using the tools they’re already using now.
If they’re concerned about being able to create marketing documents such as advertisements, build a website and/or blog and/or landing page, or write articles and blog posts, point them in the direction of productivity apps that will allow them to do this easily and efficiently. WordPress and Tumblr for example have apps that allow mobile users to create and post on the go, and many other platforms have built-in mobile services (ie TypePad). Also show them where to find all the marketing material in SFI that is already optimised and ready to go.
Their mobile device undoubtedly has a video camera built in. These days some of these devices are capable of producing good quality video footage and also have basic video-editing functionality. Demonstrate how they can use these features to create their own promotional and training videos for YouTube and other similar platforms. For instance, they can purchase TC products and then produce how to demo and product review videos. They can create training videos for their team. And so on….
In other words, the mobile devices of today are more than capable of performing all the business functions, and more, of traditional desktop computers. In fact, mobile users have a distinct advantage over those who rely on traditional computers because they can work their business any time, anywhere, when it suits them. That has got to be one big MASSIVE advantage right there for any business owner, online or bricks and mortar. Use that as your core strategy when marketing SFI and TC to mobile owners and then simply demonstrate to them how easily and effectively their mobile device can be turned into a very powerful business tool. A tool that they already have (so no need to buy a computer) and already know how to use (so no steep learning curve - they can concentrate on learning the business instead of learning how to use their mobile device).
