The salient qualities required for building a strong, motivated & active team is enumerated below:
a. Leadership.
The team leader should passionately develop these skills in his PSAs /CSAs –members of his team! Thee skills are required to make our team follow us and so channel the effort in one direction. The leader should lead by his actions. Members will like to follow a leader who is not just a preacher but a performer;
The leader’s badges are the reflection of his efforts. By seeing them, his members will be inspired to perform better
b. Ownership.
This is a vital quality to be imbibed in your team members. Each member should possess the sense of belonging to SFI. The members should consider SFI as a business and not a hobby.
c. Recognition.
A good team leader highlights and recognizes the hard working members of his team ,at all times
d. Tolerance ;
The leader should not any time act like he is the boss of the team and should show patience and tolerance while dealing & motivating his team. He should consider & give respect to each members national,cultural and language backgrounds.
e. Perseverance :-
Should be patient, enduring challenges & hurdles in the business..Should not give up despite the difficulties encountered along the way.
f. Focus
To coax & motivate the members to develop the ability to stay focused on one thing without any diversion.
g- Communication
Communicating with your team members as well as teaching them to communicate with other prospective affiliates is very important and essential.A sincere, fluid and constant communication with specified frequency is the ‘order of the day”. Speak your team's language, be clear and concise, teach in concepts your affiliates can understand. A team that communicates, takes initiative, and understands how to pass on the same information to their own sub-teams, as well will succeed in SFI.
Every communication from the Leader’s side should always reflect his sincerity in helping them. He should ask them as to how he can help them, how he can support so that they can advance to the next level,
etc. By al these, the members will be motivated.
h. Inter- personal Relationship:
.The leader should build relationship with each and every one of his team members. This is possible only
when he lives up to their expectations.
2 Further with my personal experience, I believe that it is possible to create an active and motivated team which will conquer the cyber- world,in carrying out the SFI business. This is very much possible.
3. The foremost requirement for an active, & motivated team is a team leader who has a passion to excel no matter what the challenges are, having a mindset that nothing is impossible. A team leader who will never say “no” for an answer and who will not fall flat when hit in the face with set-backs or obstacles.
-The team leader should be able to spread his/her enthusiasm to the entire team .His enthusiasm and efforts should be infectious to influence all the members of his team.
-The ideal leader should never think of “the ways how to increase his business” He should be thinking, “ways to increase his teammates business” The key is to put your “team” ahead of your own dreams.. If the leader is concentrating on building his team members success then he will accordingly reach the heights of business he would have never imagine. “My team members first”-should be his attitude.
-The ideal team leader should not only “Lead by Example,” so that his follow his steps but also be an example, himself! . He should help his team mates succeed and teach them how to help their own teammates succeed. This is known as “duplication ; If you're communicating clearly, this may be as simple as encouraging your team members to use the same teaching tools you've used with them.
-The ideal leader should not give up on any one of his members . In this type of business, we have no clue at all as to when an active member will become inactive and an inactive one will turn out to be quite active.
-He should guide them slowly but steadily; Even if they advance one step, its perfectly fine. As long as they
keep advancing it’s quite ok.They should advance and grow, that's very important.
-He should demonstrate his genuine concern and commitment for their growth. Mere
offering of tips or suggestions will not help.
In the cyberspace of online marketing, merely teaching is not enough; the leader has to perform himself!
-He should regularly and timely communicate with his members since they are very vital in building a good business.
- He should make them understand, SFI Rules of Success and help them to build their own team.
-Make it a point to transparently reward the performers . The message will be loud and clear”Be a performer; you get everything”
4.Conclusion:
These are my tips to a team leader;if he uses the above mentioned qualities judiciously,his team will surely comprise of active, enthusiastic, self-motivated members.
