I think a lot of people here are like me - they have no experience in internet marketing.
We can do marketing and recruiting amongst our family and friends (which I do not like because if they do not succeed they blame you) but eventually you are going to run out of people to target.
Teach them HOW to advertise, how to use the tools SFI offers us. If you've done it before it might seem stupid to you but I can assure you - it is not as easy as you think. When I say HOW - I mean it - step by step instructions in plain English - to refer them to a link that they can go and read will not do the trick with everybody.
It would help if your affiliates asked you about things but they don't. I have a team of 141 members - only 2 of my team members are asking questions and communicating with me - as for the rest - no reaction.

The most important thing you should teach your downline to do is daily tasks.They should understand that they need to do them every day.Like that,they will learn to be active in their business.
The second thing is to teach them how to comunicate with their potencial PSAs and the ones who are already their PSAs. They need to be available to their members whenewer is needed to help and support them on their way to success. That way, their members will follow your downline success and give their maximum to furfill their own expectations in the first place.
Your downline needs to learn how to advertise their job in order to advance. Here in SFI they have all available marketing methods and adds, and banners that they can use to advertise online. If they are advertising offline, they should order some gift cards and share them to their friends and relatives. Even share them to people on the streat, the supermarket, parking lot...
If they have at least one TrippleClicks member they can order 50 W3 cards for free and use them to advertise the W3 program. Now the W3 program is free and offers a lot of benefits.

This question has caused me to ponder prior to posting a reply. There are so many methods to market and at first I was focusing on which method is the most effective. However, after pondering I would have to save my recommendation would be the MOST valuable marketing skill to teach your downline is consistency.
Whatever they choose to use for marketing be it word of mouth, e-mail advertising, PPC, social media, co-ops, or one of the various other methods I would highly recommend that they be consistent in whatever they are doing. If they do it once and then walk away success will not be theirs. Consistent action is the key. And when they find something is working better than another then consistently do that more.

To me the most valuable marketing skill any salesperson should have is advertising skill.
Great salesperson of which the founder of SFI Mr. Gery is one, all possess the skill to make products attractive and a must have to prospective buyers.
You don't have to be good talker to sell your products, you need to know how to appeal to the sense of the prospects and to do this you must know how to package and advertise your products.
The number one thing that attract me to SFI in the first place is the package and advertisement in place even for prospective members.
Other skill needed to be passed across to downlines are; PATIENCE, TIMING, COMMUNICATING SKILL and so on.
Our downlines need to replicate us in whatever they do in their SFI business and to do this they must be good sales person who can market SFI even with their eyes closed.

To conquer the internet is to provide you with an income for life. It take finding items to sell, advertising the items you are selling, and having a mechanism to do these actions.

Affiliates should have excellent interpersonal skills. They must have a genuine interest in people, so that their need to socialize and communicate with others would open the avenue for marketing SFI and Tripleclicks. They will feel more confident in approaching a prospect so that if they are quickly rejected they will not loose their motivation.
They must speak in a language or use dialect that the person understands, and be able to understand body language a bit so that they can pick up on cues hence avoiding uncomfortable situations. Being tactful would be a great asset.
Good IT skills is another asset they should have. You should direct them to the Internet Income course so that they learn techniques and strategies of doing online marketing. The use of social media for marketing is another skill you can teach them.

Another marketing skill to teach your downline is to be active on sponsoring PRM's (Personally Referred Members). This is where their commissions will really pay off.
The best marketing skill is advertising and just be active in advertising on different websites. Their are many free ways to do this, however; if you have a budget to set aside for advertising this can greatly increase your advertising results. One marketing skill is to keep trying different advertising platforms until you see what works best for you.
