We all understand how to translate our messages to other languages using translation tools, as well as how to translate others' messages to us. However, the most important factor regarding translation are items related to idiomatic language and metaphor--these rarely translate outside of one's own country. For example, if I described someone's actions as "getting my goat," that would likely be translated literally, as if someone had managed to obtain a goat that I owned, rather than as that person annoying me. Error-free translation requires very concise communication, structured with the best grammar. Without that, messages get "lost in translation."

Best to start out with your welcome message.First welcome them to SFI.
Then let them know where the translator is located.
I always have a page open for translating to their language.Yesterday I sent
a message to someone from Argentina.First I opened a tab and typed in
Argentina speaks, then enter. Spanish came up.
Next use the google translator on the tab beside it.
Translation is a very good tool to talk with other nationals, but could you improve your english, it is most universal language and can be use any part of the world, SFI also provides translation tool, and if you can't do this there then first write your text into your own browser then copy and paste it into Google Translate then copy translated text and paste it into SFI Instant Messaging box. it will raise your knowledge about other languages and will help you in future too.

to effectively communicate with PSAs from other countries while using SFIM(SFI Instant Messaging)
By using Google translate; copy and paste the conversation to be translated to the appropriate language
OR
By installing Google Translator Plugin to the browser; highlight on the conversation and right-click then click on the Google Translator and no problem invovled.
To communicate effectively with your PSAs from other countries you will need a translator preferably google translator.
Open the google translator and write or paste the message you want to translate. After it has being translated to your preferred language you copy and come paste it in the PSAs chat.
Since the SFI IM does not include a translator, we must use another Translator that we find does a decent job of translating our words and our meanings. When using it, put it on it's own window and keep both windows open. Then write your message into the translator and copy/paste what comes out into your IM. Do the reverse for incoming messages.

To communicate in the most effective way with the Public Service Announcements from other countries is advisable to write in English is the universal language, also called world or global.
English is the language in which it is marketed, and therefore is also called the language of business.
From any language we can use a translator example "Google Translate"
or other
Personally, when I started in SFI, I opened two browsers every time, one with google traduction and the other with SFI then I copied and pasted what I want to understand the sense and I opened my dictionary and start to search what I want. Now with months and practice with english I almost never use that, training is the best way !
