Recruiting PSAs and PRMs, locally, was the first approach used by SFI Affiliates, at its inception.

In 1998, the internet was far from being as developed and its use as widespread as it is today.

Those among us, who just recently joined this great business community of marketers, would benefit very well by taking inspiration from the early methods and tools used to sponsor affiliates and TripleClicks members.

Locals meetings and seminars were part of that arsenal of tools and methods.
To answer your question then, we need to look at two aspects: where to find prospects and how to get them to our meetings and seminars.

Our warm market (family, friends, co-workers and business relations) is our first natural market for finding PSAs and PMRS. One of the greatest mistakes new affiliates makes is to make assumptions on our warm market, with the idea that they may not be interested. This view is self-defeating. Because of our fear of rejection from people we know, we hesitate to offer this opportunity to people who are close to us, who, for reasons we may not know, could possibly be the best affiliates we could sponsor.

After we have started our own team and we have few affiliates, we can also help them work on their warm markets. This approach is honed and fully refined in the Insurance industry. New Insurance agents are asked to draw a list of all the people they know to submit to their hiring managers as part of their process for coming onboard.

Similarly a team leader could advise his local team members to proceed in the same manner.
To prospect beyond our warm market, we have extensive and diversified sets of marketing methods and tools available to us at the Marketing training module, at the Affiliate Center.

There are 8 (eight) marketing sub-sections within the Marketing training module. They offer marketing aids and marketing methods for beginners, intermediate and advanced marketing skills and strategies. All of these are appropriate, both online and offline, for identifying prospects for PSAs and PRMs.

Our next concern, then, is how to get these prospects to our meetings/seminars and how to make them effective recruiting sessions.

The first rule is to keep it simple and focus on the goal. It is about introducing SFI, bringing out the prospect’s interest and helping them register as SFI Affiliates and TripleClicks members.
After a thorough introduction about SFI and TripleClicks with focus on the benefits of being an affiliate and a TripleClicks members, this first part of the meeting or seminar should conclude with directing participants to express their interest to join.

The next part of the meeting is to help them register. Today, with portable devices such as iPads, iPods, tablets and smartphones, this can be easily handled.

It would also be wise to have few laptops available as well as an operational Wi-Fi for online connections. These devices should all be set at the SFI site, ready to handle registrations.

The final part of your meeting should be about helping your new recruits navigate the SFI site and to start taking action about accomplishing the most important activity for a new affiliate, such as verifying their email addresses, completing their profiles, whitelisting SFI, Tripleclicks and Pricebenders, watching the introductory video and reading the SFI basics.

If you accomplish the above in that meeting, you will have affiliates ready to go, already knowledgeable about SFI.

Your conclusion of the meeting or seminar should be about follow up, assistance and support to your new affiliates: how they can reach you and your team members for any help or questions they may have in their first days with SFI

Setting up meetings can be as easy as it can be difficult. The easy part is the organisation where you must consider a few factors:

1. Your venue and budgeting for it. How quiet and conducive is it?
2. The number of people you wish to invite to the meeting and if you can accommodate extra members should you be faced with that scenario.
3. Flip charts to explain a few basics about Sfi/TripleClicks
4. Depending on the number of people, can you afford to provide refreshments/snacks.
5. You can devote 1 hour for the meeting and then leave half hour for Q & A session.
6. If you have a big group, you will need help to sign up new members who must be from your team.

The main difficulty arises in handling invites for such a meeting and the availability of people to come to your meeting. It can be very disappointing if you have targetted 100 people and only one or two show up. On a positive note, you can see this few number as people who are serious about knowing about the opportunity. However, your aim is to recruit as many as possible. Therefore give sufficient notice and expect people to confirm their participation.

An interesting aspect of such a meeting is if you can invite one of your Upline TEAM LEADER to talk to the group- this adds to the curiosity about the meeting and is likely to pull in a larger crowd.

This is an easy one….dare I say, especially for the women. Women are great at getting together for a cuppa and a chat. Put a small ad in your local paper and say that once a month you will be holding a morning tea and a chat. Detail that you will be showing them your new business and that there is a free gift for them as well. Perhaps you can give each new member who signs up, a Gift Certificate. Just make sure you have deposited your gift certificate money in good time so that it is available on the day of your morning tea.

Your morning tea can be a recruitment time for new members and it can also be for members that have previously joined but would like some more information on what to do. If you go about helping these new members each month with a get together, you will do well.

When you place your ad in the paper, state that it is a free morning tea but bring along your laptop with you. You can then show people how to join under you and you can detail exactly what they have to do.

Leave doing your daily tasks until your members arrive and you can go through them together. Restrict your morning tea numbers to 10 or 12 people so you can give them your individual attention.

Not only will you get new members, you will also make a lot of new friends.

A very good question.
To set up a local meeting, i'l advice you to first get a professional and affordable venue. Like an adage says, 'the way you are dressed, is the way you'l be addressed'. If you are really looking for serious and quality PSAs and PRMs, then your venue and its location matters. Where your business location is will determine the calibre of people that will come and therefore determines the quality of your seminar and your recruitment.
That said, you need to also put the following in place:
1. Your targeted audience: who are the people you are really after to recruit? Then let your flyer/ banner speaks about it. That speaks a lot of volume as it eliminates the crowd of people you don't want.
2. Preparation Of The Seminar: how many people are you inviting? What is your budget towards it? Who is your major speaker? Who are the team working with you or it is a solo work? Your preparation will determine your performance. Try and raise a team to work with you. It speaks a lot about the quality of your work.
3. Materials For The Seminar: There must be quality and standard materials in place for those who'l come. I'l advice you to use the SFI marketing aids to guide you especially SFI X cards which should be given as take aways or as sovenirs.
On the walls of the venue should be various SFI marketing aids that can catch the eyes when entering. This speaks a lot to your audience. It gives a professional atmosphere and touch.
4. A humorous and interactive section and atmosphere should be inculcated, where questions and answers are done in a relaxed atmoshere.
5. Time Management: you must plan the hours to be used in such meetings and it must be precised, short, straight to the point discussion and interesting. As a businessman respect people's timing for the sake of another time. Be strict on your time schedule.
6. During discussions, entertain. Let your entertainment be moderate and professional as well e.g snacks will do and not biscuits.
7. Give room for contributions by your participants and you'l have had a successful and inspiring sign up seminar.

If you want to have local meeting to recruit PSAs and PRMs then you need to host the event at a prominent place in your hometown and have a prominent speaker to come and speak on the subject of "Living the Dream With Strong Future International". So you will need to work out the fee with the speaker and most speakers set their own fees. For example, what I did is invite my Platinum Team Leader to come to my event. You will need to have an alternate just in case your first choice bails out at the last minute.

You need to find a place to accommodate such a gathering. Many cities have conference space that they rent out. Others have a public place that you can use for free - like a school auditorium. The facilities coordinator needs to be contacted and you must explain what you are going to be doing for your event so he/she can help you set up your room. If you are a graduate of a university then that's great because they will allow you to use space sometimes. Once you have the location in place all of the technical peripherals will need to be hooked up. If the group is small, then perhaps your local library will allow you to teach a class on making extra money working from home.

Next, you need to work on publicity. I was able to your internet radio done by my sponsor to promote my local event. Radio is relatively inexpensive but continued ads running can cost a pretty penny. I highly recommend doing 4 30sec radio spots on your local radio station if you can afford it. Otherwise, you can use card deck advertising to send out postcards promoting your event. You can also post up flyers for the event with the date, time, local, and any pertinent details such as who the keynote speaker is going to be.

The day of your event you need to be prepared. Don't ever show for an event unprepared. You need to have a specific agenda and goal in mind. Maintain control of the event and move the participants toward a definite decision as you would with any other prospecting tool. Follow up with every participants whether they join or not and survey them to find out where you can improve for your next event.

Finally, make the local event a team effort. Share the prospects with all of the team members that participate in the event equally. Allow some of your teammates to have leadership roles during the process. This spreads out the workload and improves the likely hood of success.

I'm a little over the top, I actually just opened my own internet café in my rural town just so that I can invite and teach people about SFI's online opportunity daily! A less involved and costly way, would be to frequent WiFi cafés and get a group of people interested in earning online then book a room at a local library and hold a meeting there. They usually have free WiFi. You could also hold a meeting at a local college where they have WiFi all over their buildings in various locations. As long as the meeting is small, the college probably wouldn't mind. Placing a notice that you will be at a location on social media sites at a certain time to show people what you do online to earn money would be a great way to get peoples interest. Try to get RSVP's from your friends so you know the size of your group. It will help you decide where would be best to hold them.

How would I do that ....

Third, the video presentation has to be voted by graphically supported and visually attractive.
Fourth, prepare adequate brochure and share the very beginning
Fifth, get ready for the questions and the shortest way to explain every aspect of the business.

The seminar has the advantage of speaking our language and thus better approaching SFI and TC our potential partners and customers. All in all a great way of recruiting new members ........

When you go about setting up local meetings or seminars to recruit your PSAs and PRMs, you should know your objectives.

Your business objective is to build your team by sharing the benefits of SFI home business opportunity and the benefits of TripleClicks membership. It is therefore vitally important that one conduct all meetings/seminars as professionally as possible in order to accomplish these objectives.

Choosing a Venue

Once you’ve got the topic pinned down, you must figure out where to hold your event. How large of a venue will you need?
