When I joined, I watched the video, I read the SFI Basics, and worked my Launchpad Lessons. From that first building block, I focused right away on growing my business by building my team. I did not consider whether I had marketing skills or not. I just followed the step-by-step business model outlined in the “SFI Basics” and Launchpad lessons.
Whether is is about you, or the affiliates you sponsor, get yourself and your team focused on taking action based on the training material SFI has made available.
For beginners without experience or skills, if they are willing to work, SFI offers all the training, the tools and the technical support to get started, without wasting time, regardless of their skills level.
Within the past two years, SFI has introduced many sponsoring tools to help beginners or seasoned affiliates, experienced marketers or non-skilled newbies alike build their teams: S-Builder Co-op, PSAS to go, Bid&Build, PSA and CSA auctions are available to every affiliate.
The second building block I used was my warm market: family, friends, relatives, co-workers, business associates, retailers and shop owners whose services you buy on a regular basis to bring in ECAs ; use the SFI marketing aids and methods for beginners. I was able to have several team members who did relatively well. Our warm markets are the most readily available source for sponsoring, the most accessible source for recruiting and the easier way to start earning an income. SFI has made it easy for sharing your recruiting gateways with your family and friends by emails. You just need to add them to your signature. At later stages, after you gain experience, you can also post them in your blogs and personal websites.
For selling, in the second marketing method for beginners, we are encouraged to “refer friends and family to specific URLs of individual products. We can find a URL to a given product within the SFI Affiliate tab on each product's details page.”

Many beginners make the mistake of neglecting their market, although, it may be very receptive warm market. This may not be the case of seasoned marketers who may have exhausted it.
If you apply the above approach, consistently in your first and second months, your team will grow up quickly. Motivate your affiliate to use the same strategies and actions to build their own teams. Very soon, you may have a very sound thriving downline to several generations.
In the meantime, devote one hour a day to learning marketing, selling and sponsoring. Motivation and excellent work ethics will compensate for initial lack of skills.
Whoever applies themselves will become skilled. They may even get better than those who think they have the skills and to not work to improve them.
In your initial approach to marketing, selling and sponsoring, use extensively the methods and aids SFI has designed and developed for beginners. There are 15 (fifteen) of them. Make sure you understand the spirit behind them, and apply them in the spirit and for the markets they are intended.
Three of these methods are about handing out TC-X Cards. By doing this, you are combining both marketing aids and marketing methods.
