Decide what local is, how many mile radius from your central location, and where your intended list of attendees live in respect to the area and each other. Find a place to meet that is convenient to the most people, not to you. Set a date, an agenda, secure the meeting room, and then personally invite those who live in that area. Many people will not drive more than about 50 miles for this type of meeting. Offer to pick up those who live nearest to you.

Announce the agenda, and that you will devote time for other questions. Select topics that are of interest to several levels of participants and teach to those who come.
Also have some door prizes that you put together using the various x-Cards, brochures, etc.

At the beginning have them register. and at the end have a questionnaire asking what they gained from the training, was it worth the trip? What do they want covered the next time? Get them involved in the training. Make them feel like the training was for them. It is.

My affiliates are those new PSAs, cosponsored affiliates and new prospects in SFI business. They may be from far and near. However, those within the city are semi -urban areas are considered near within the radius of 50 miles. While beyond this distance, I consider as rural where traveling time take more than an hour. With the 50 mile radius(city zone), I can call for a group training in a designated place.

Before organizing local training, identify the venue which is accessible by all. The venue must be located within the city area with enough facilities such as adequate parking spaces, available eating outlets, conducive learning environment and comfortable.

Give prior notice of the training schedule and the subject matter.
Invite experienced speaker(s) and well versed in SFI business
Provide incentives such as free lunch, free transport or free accommodation or cash allowance for meal, transport and accommodation.
Ready for any surprises such as door gifts or rewards for high achievers.

First I would look to see that there were enough of my affiliates living close enough that they could easily travel to where I intend holding my meetings.

I would make sure I could rely on at least one highly successful leader turning up to speak about their path in SFI.

I would also make sure that I had refreshments laid on.

If I could not do these things then I would seriously consider making a video for my affiliates or having an online meeting using Skype or a conferencing program.

Training and development strategy with our affiliates need and a must!
All affiliates that have have realized that this is serious business, we will access the training and instruction. Will gladly accept tips for successful business and actively participate in developing strategies for better success!
The others, who have not exactly managed to first understand the seriousness of this work, they should be further stimulated for go to work and to participate actively in discussions and problem solving success and strategy.
There is an admirable easy opportunity for each sponsor to launch its affiliates ...... this is the Facebook group! Every sponsor and the leader should have a group on Facebook, and every new affiliates becomes a member of this group! In this way, brings together active and those less active affiliates! In addition to daily work, with the current issues of individual affiliates and answers sponsors or other affiliates come to the interactive work of all!
Affiliates that are less interested in the monitoring group slowly begin ourselves to participate and begin yourself to be more active! No one is left to itself or just the attention of sponsors but is gained sense of belonging to the team! ..... The team always wins!
Through the group we have an exchange of information, all the innovations, achievements of individual team members (groups) to work and won awards at competitions and games on TripleClicks-in. All of this information can come and do not have, to our members.
But, it is my opinion that this kind of work provides quite opportunities and that in this way we come to a positive response in the affiliates that are inert in the job. Sometimes I surprise how they become successful in business!
This is an indirect way of calls to visit a training and instruction, but it is quite effective!

Do you only want to do local training for your local affiliates, and so exclude your other affiliates from another country? How are you going to train your affiliates who live in different countries across the globe?

If the majority of your team are from your area, it would be easy to get them to your training sessions.

If money is not a problem, you can hire a hall, do all the necessary arrangements for presentation, refreshments, and other things that go with it, like time and venue and duration of the training.

Send your team invitation and wait for their acceptance so you can finalise your preparations.

If they accept, let them know if this is a once only or is this an ongoing training sessions. Then provide all the training brochures, X-Cards, etc. and ensure your powerpoint presentation is easy to follow.

I would recommend you consider an online training session, via webcast, Skype, or go-to-meeting.

Using any of these formats could allow you to record the session and set it up as podcast for later viewing by those who couldn't attend the actual meeting online. Or, you could produce your own training podcast and make it available to your affiliates for viewing at their convenience.

Another option you might consider is YouTube.

In any case, you want to concentrate on making your training session(s) available to your affiliates so that it is convenient for them.

Hi ~firstname~,
Experience tells us and other affiliates will agree that it is very difficult to receive communication from your affiliates leave alone training them. However if you are lucky and are able to communicate effectively then training can be arranged for them wherever they reside.
If they are in a perticular locality you can always have a training session wher your affiliates are present. Be prepared and see that all their queries are answered in question answer session arranged after the training session. Giving gifts like gift cards, tripleclicks cards, TC,s etc. as an incentive after they achieve EA status is a good idea.
If they donot belong to same country then a video conferencing session can be arranged on skype by giving them a prior information. Ask them to join/sign in skype if they are not signed with it. give them sufficient time to do this. Email them th agenda or the areas you are going to cover in training. Adjust a suitable timing for all affiliates as per the time zone they belong. Ask all of them to be on line at that time. Thats it. Give incentives to affiliates if you so feel. And rock your training session.
If you are able to do all this you deserve to be an awesome sponsor

If you are doing training,first put your weekly subject in a blog so those that missed it,can
get the details.

Anyone not signed up can be leered to a meeting by serving lunch.Tell them they can eat as soon as they get there.I served a sandwich,chips,ice tea and coffee.

If you can, have bottled water and ice.Try to have fans so everyone is comfortable.If they are hungry they may walk out on you.

Have something for kids to do.People will bring them. Be sure you go to their home to sign them up.You cannot let them sign up from your home.

It is just my opinion,but meetings are old fashioned.I prefer blogs for my team,the use of the Stream Post, Ask SC, instant message,e-cards,e-mail and the wonderful forums.

Let's say you have local affilliates that you're ready to train. You can do this training at your home or a cafe or anywhere people feel comfortable meeting at a time when they can meet. How you get them to come to the sessions is going to depend on the people themselves.

* In the case of those who want training, you have it easy. You tell them when the session is, and they come.

* If they don't want to come, you have to speak to their values--the same ones you spoke to when you signed them on as affiliates. Show them how your training will help them do what they want to do.

* It never hurts to serve coffee and donuts (unless you're talking to a diet enthusiast).
