Sponsor and Co-sponsor, are the 'parents' of any affiliate. They are assigned to give direction and care to affiliates; no matter ones age in SFI. I don't know if Gery- the founder, is exempted.
Seriously speaking, its very good and important to have a sponsor and Co-sponsor. They act as ones father and mother respectively in our SFI days, in this online business.

Others may have varied opinions, but to me, if my initial steps were not directed right from the start, I may not have been writing this for others to know of my existence.
If we talk about Sponsors and Co-sponsors, we don't exclude our up line members. They also care for affiliates, just like the huge extended family system; as grandparents, uncles and aunies

It's of great relief to know that such a nice family exist in SFI and everyone ever prepared o guide and guard one through the mace of the online business.

Hello Oliver,

I've been rating other people's answers on your question and what I see is that depending on what type of Sponsor/Co-Sponsor they have or the type of Sponsor/Co-Sponsor they are determines how they're answering the question. And I'm not sure if you're asking because you don't have a good Sponsor/Co-Sponsor or if you want to know what you should be doing to be a good Sponsor/Co-Sponsor. Here is what I believe the best answer to your question is.

It is extremely important to have and be a good, no, Awesome Sponsor/Co-Sponsor. We are taught in SFI Basics, Rules of Success and Be an Awesome Sponsor that Duplication is the key to our success. So, if you have a Sponsor/Co-Sponsor that never communicates with you, you will be a Sponsor/Co-Sponsor that never communicates with your team. If you have a Sponsor/Co-Sponsor that never congratulates you on your successes, you will be a Sponsor/Co-Sponsor that never congratulates your team members. If you've had to learn how to do this business by yourself and have no guidance from anyone, your downline will have to learn how to do this alone as well.

I find that some of the most successful people here, including Gery Carson did not have an active Sponsor/Co-Sponsor. So does that mean you don't have to be an active Sponsor/Co-Sponsor? No, I think not. If it wasn't important for you to be an "Awesome Sponsor" why are there all the articles about being an Awesome Sponsor?

I also think that the people telling you that it's not important to have a good Sponsor are telling you that because they are not doing what they should be doing for their team. Regular communication between you and your top team members is critical to everyone's success. Sure, you can find the answers to your questions at the Forum or from your a2a friends, but wouldn't it be nice to just send an email, or hop on chat with your Sponsor to get the answers? Congratulations to those people who did it all on their own. "If it is to be, it is up to me." This is very true. Your Sponsor cannot do this business for you, and you can't do it for your members. You and they have to complete the Daily, Weekly and Monthly tasks yourself. But if you don't know how to get started, or you need help and guidance moving forward, your Sponsor should be the first place you go for help.

What continues to baffle me is SFI teaches us about duplication and being an Awesome Sponsor. I don't understand why so many of us don't have Sponsors and Co-Sponsors that don't communicate with us. Do you want to teach your team how to be lazy or how to be successful? You will have more active members if you're an active Sponsor. When we joined SFI we were assigned a Sponsor and a Co-Sponsor. They were immediately sent an email notification. You're getting the same notification about your new affiliates as your Sponsor did. If you didn't send a welcome message to the new affiliate who just signed up, you're perpetuating the "absent Sponsor syndrome" that plagues so many of us.

Be an Awesome Sponsor. Don't be an Absent Sponsor.

The role of Sponsor and Co-Sponsor cannot be emphasized too much. It is that significant especially when an Affiliate is in his/her early stages of business in their tottering steps. It is the bounden duty of the Sponsor and Co-Sponsor to lead the Affiliate and guide them by holding their hand through the maze of information, through the confounding atmosphere of too many products, too many actions and too many to-do actions confusing and at the same time baffling. This is from the view point of an average Affiliate who nourishes a lot of ambition and hope while entering the business. As a result, the Affiliate gets overwhelmed and feels highly discouraged and down in his spirits. In fact it is to overcome this stage that a meaningful guidance of a coach/Senior in the form of Sponsor & Co-Sponsor is warranted. We must be realistic when I say that 90% of the drop outs soon on signing the SFI is because of this. We have to accept this fact if we are really true to ourselves and raise to the occasion. As otherwise, SFI is highly systematic in its oveer all System of arranging thing things it their increasing order of difficult nature. Also, nothing will beseen on screen for the Affiliate except the tip of the Iceberg. That is the way it is needed to be and that is the way it is. We will be seeing the observations of many a highly senior Affiliates saying SFI IS SIMPLE IN ITSELF BUT WE ARE MAKING IT COMPLICATED. How tre is the statement!. And how realistic is it!!

Coming to my own experience, because of lack of guidance and direction from the Sponsor, I lsot my FAST TRACK, I stood to miss more than 450 points for a staggering period of four and a half months.Yes it is a down-to-earth and naked truth. It is not that I have been sitting all the while. There is no 'door' that I have knocked! I contacted Sponsor Not even an acknowledgment of for my mail. Let in responding in time. When I contacted the Co-Sponsor. There was a semblance of guidance.. But I am not that type to pick facts.So, the issue stood where it is. I contacted the Support Team not once but thrice. Yes! They did guide me. But I have not succeeded in cracking the issue. I went to the Forum. There, I got a mixed response. Then I put the solution giv e by the Forum and Support Team. I could crack the gig-saw puzzle and push through. In the meanwhile a time of four and a half months is passed. Let me be frank, I am not blaming any one except my 'fate'. Now the moral that we get from this story is when an affiliate steps in to SFI, why he should be at the mercy of his/her fate?

The position of a new affiliate is just akin to an Aero-plane pilot in the mid-air. He lost contact with the Ground Control! What is his position? That is the position of new Affiliate in SFI without guidance of the Sponsor/Co-Sponsor.. The second and more relevant question is how many Affiliates do possess that patience, perseverance and doggedness to pursue things to their logical conclusion? The out come is obvious. We are frequently hearing complaints from the Affiliates that the Sponsors/Co-Sponsors are not accessible for them. Perhaps now at least you will agree with me why the turnover rate is very high in SFI of the Affiliates in spite of excellent business with a scope to earn dollars. Something needs to be done in this regard.

Great question but the answer is quite simple:

SFI is not instant gratification and money. It takes work...hard work. Some affiliates who join do not have the time or patience to work for long term gain and only want short term gain. This also applies to sponsors as well because they are affiliates too!

The answer is that you do NOT need to have a good sponsor or co-sponsor. I have been in businesses where my sponsor quit and I was left to do it all on my own. But...guess what??? I made it work. You can too! You are your own greatest resource! Learn every day. Plug into your upline above your sponsor. There are tons of people waiting to help you in the forum! "Ask SC" even has answers to your questions.

Bottom line.....You will NEVER BE ALONE in SFI!!!!

1.The Sponsor is the person who leads you through SFI from your first day with SFI.
2.The Sponsor is the person who is most responsible to you then anyone.
3.Having a good sponsor and co-sponsor is one of the most important thing here .Cause SFI has many informations to learn in short term after sign up.
4.Based on the success of their upline support, the affiliate, having started building his/her own team very early, can the support they receive from their sponsor and sponsor.
5.Beside the fact that we can all and all did need some sort of guidance when we first started with SFI, to have a good Sponsor or Co-Sponsor is invaluable, so much.
6.Its important to have a good sponsor and Co-sponsor because they will guard you when ever you help.
7.SFI provides you with all the training and resources you need to become successful in your business plus apart from the SFI support team themselves you have people from all over the world who are there to help you as well.
8.The first person who will give you guidance is you sponsor , and therefore it is important to have contact with the sponsor and the co-sponsor.
9. It is more important to find someone in your upline who will respond to your inquiries in a timely manner.
10.They will do everything they can to help you succeed in life and business.

Strange i know, here's my theory.

Having a great sponsor is what we all want, helas they aren't, but when you have a good one, then this should benefit your business in some way, as a good sponsor helps you, guides you, maybe works together with you, maybe rewards his best team members,....

This should make a sfi member happy and works motivating towards building a successful business, and works great too in the duplication part of the business. Cause if you have a great sponsor, and he teaches you all you need to know and maybe even more, then you will also pass this on onto your team members and so, do the same for them, giving them a good feeling about SFI, the business, you,etc,...

On the other hand if you have a bad( co) sponsor, who doesn't help you, guide you, or whatever else he should do, that's ok.

This teaches you one valuable lesson, and that is: How Not To Do IT!

See, anything your sponsor or co sponsor doesn't do for you, and you would like or want them to do. You do for your team. If you have a bad upline so to say, then don't let that stop you, there are plenty of ways for guidance here on sfi.

Learn from them, and then be the best sponsor YOU can be.

Great sponors and co-sponsors must be persons who show good examples that their downline can follow which will lead to success. They should keep in touch with their downline regularly to make their presence felt.

Show examples by scoring high vps every day by doing the required daily tasks. Challenge the members that hard works, patience and determination will pay off in the long run to achieve success. 

Provide rewards to motivate the downline. Continously updating their leadership page. 

Great sponsors and co-sponsors will lead the business and be successful with the help of the members of the team.

It is not in our control to choose a sponsor unless one knows more than two affiliates of SFI. In such case there may be a possibility of having one to one interaction with the possible sponsors and one can decide in whose team one can join,

However if one is promoting sponsoring gateways on internet, the prospect does not have a choice of selecting a sponsor.

Co sponsor is also appointed by SFI . So why to think about importance of having a good sponsor or co sponsor?

It is our own business. Once we have a sponsor and co sponsor, we can be in communication with them . Our expectation about good sponsor / co sponsor may be depend on many things. However in general if we are in the MOVER's list of Sponsor / co sponsor chances of getting a good support are more.

Even if the sponsor or co sponsor are not responsive, you have upline / forum and a2a friends for your help.

I am glad you asked this, because my SFI journey reflects on this point. When I started, neither my Sponsor or Co-Sponsor contacted me at all. I tried asking questions, but did not get any response. I then contacted individuals further in my up-line and also SFI directly. Getting answers to my questions,I learned that SFI has an incredible support system.

It is very important for each of us to be great Sponsors and Co-Sponsors since you will have much better Affiliates, but I am the only one that makes my destiny. Not my Sponsor or Co-Sponsor. I hopes this helps motivates you toward success.

Whilst having a good sponsor and co-sponsor is beneficial to how successfully you build your business, it is not essential. To get ahead in this world, you need to take care of yourself. Promote yourself. Think positive and work.

Sitting around idly searching the internet for ways to make money…..sound familiar! Just concentrate on your SFI business and attend to your daily, weekly and monthly chores.

Actively promote the TripleClicks site both the auctions and the ECAs. Do some advertising of the great products available to earn your commissions. Whilst having help from upline members is good, it is definitely not essential. It all comes back to how YOU run your business.
