I would simply tell them it is an online shopping center, where they can choose from nearly 90,000 different products from around the world, play online games, bid in penny auctions, download songs from new and rising singers, and much more.

If they are not already members, I would ask them if they would like a gift card, so they can join in the fun, check it out for themselves, and maybe play a few games, or download a few songs.
